8 years ago I started this day as Harrison Fae Design. . The first year was fun, the second year was exciting, the third year was a juggling act, the fourth year was growing, the fifth year was covid and a baby, the sixth year was a new online store, the seventh year was new office and more space, year EIGHT, is enjoyment. . I took some time off over December and January (thanks to surgery), but it gave me time to sit back and admire the work we have done over the years. I am so ready to jump back in with both feet on February 1st when I will be fully recovered. My clients and employees gave me the time to properly heal myself and I couldn't be more grateful for that. This community never stops amazing me and I can not wait to ENJOY more design, more amazing clients, my amazing team and work on projects that truly excite me this year! I have truly designed a life that I love and that I am proud of and I can't wait to see what the coming years bring my way. We always tell our clients to pick their furniture early, before we design this space and here's why: - We can line up the headboard perfectly with the panels - We can center the pendant light in a panel - We can make sure the night stand fits perfectly in the panel as well . When designing a two story family room, the hidden details that come out in the design process are often challenging. Good thing we love a good challenge. We built out this stone wall above the built ins to make sure the window stayed centered in the space and we were able to create a vaulted ceiling with decorative beams that all ran center to the window as well. Finishing it off with this amazing chandelier, complete with a power lift to bring it down for cleaning. Home offices are changing. Not too many people sit at a desk for 8 hours a day anymore and with everyone working from home, the room often needs to be used by multiple family members. Kids homework can often be a parent and a child sitting at a table figuring out a problem. This is why we designed this office with a desk along the wall and then a comfy sofa, and table that swivels over the sofa but will also be more central to the room so multiple people can pull up a chair and use the space.
