Go all in on you. No more excuses. Make what lights you up your priority ABOVE all. While some of your excuses may hold some truth, those excuses won’t get you from where you are to where you want to go. Today I am sick and tired. I’m allowing myself to rest. But I’m not letting it become an excuse. I did that for a long time. I still have moments of frustration and pure exhaustion. And I know my body truly does need more rest right now. That’s ok🩷 I also started changing things in my life to give my body time to rest and heal, AND am working towards a life where I’m not exhausted all the time. Because I know more is possible. Got a chance to bike with @devsinc.official yesterday on behalf of @supergirls.pk and @criticalmass.lahore ! What a fun ride. The weather proved to be a cherry on top. London 2024 - 2:37:52 So good to see so many strong performances from friends, club mates and coached runners From a personal point of view, honestly, I wasn’t really up for it the week before. Lacking some motivation, just about recovered from Sittard, but months since I did speed work. However, its London, biggest UK Marathon, I couldn’t not do it. The goal for the day do just enough for sub2h40, a Championship place again next year I hope. Most of all, make sure I enjoyed it, otherwise why do we put ourselves through this. The reality you get to the start line, you are stood with your mates and the opportunity to run a large part of the race with them, so I went with it. It meant going out at a pace quicker than Id planned and likely burnt more energy than wanted. But there is something satisfying running shoulder to shoulder with club mates, moving along the road together. 16-17 miles I dropped back, keeping the effort level constant, rather than picking it up to maintain a pace. 20mile marker under 2hours, manual lapped my watch to clear the Canary Wharf craziness and was going to settle in for a 40min 10k. Vor jedem Retreat bin ich mega aufgeregt und frage mich: Klappt alles? Passt die Gruppe zusammen? Wie gefällt es jedem Einzelnen? Mache ich alles richtig? Diese Fragen sind Dauergäste in meinem Kopf. Umso schöner ist es, die Teilnehmer beim Ankommen zu begrüßen und festzustellen, dass genau die richtigen Menschen am genau richtigen Ort @fourtrees_portugal sind. Diese Woche diente dazu, an persönliche Grenzen zu kommen, sei es im Kopf oder körperlich, Dinge zu tun, die man vielleicht noch nie gemacht hat, und stolz darauf zu sein, sie gemeistert zu haben. Wir haben viel gelacht und auch mal geweint, und auch das anzunehmen bedeutet Wachstum. Alle Teilnehmer haben neue Fähigkeiten gelernt und mentale Stärke bewiesen. Ich bin unglaublich stolz auf jeden Einzelnen und dankbar für ihr Vertrauen. Am Ende der Woche sind aus Fremden Freunde geworden, die eine unvergessliche Zeit mit wunderschönen Bildern auf ihrer persönlichen Leinwand des Lebens hatten. Empower yourself by changing the way you speak to yourself!  Using words like I think , I should , maybe, probably, one day & probably creates uncertainty around the thing you want to do. For example  “I think i need to start eating healthier” Suggests you are just thinking about eating healthy and you don’t have to do it immediately. Take away the word ‘think”  “I need to start eating healthier”and you are a step closer to doing it.   Then take away  the “need”  “I can start eating healthier today” Make it something you can do and you can do it today.  Language is a powerful tool that shapes our mindset and beliefs. When waves aren’t an option, I’ll try the concrete. Falls hit harder, and it’s no saltwater crash, but learning to skate will help me be a better surfer and I can do it now! Plus learning the new skill challenges my brain, patterns, habits and old ways of thinking, doing and being. When was the last time you learned something new? Falling, failing and being discouraged provide us the opportunity to reprogram old ways of thinking. We interrupt the patterns we’ve spent years forming when we challenge ourselves with new learning and get outside our comfort zone. I was listening to an audiobook today and the author was talking about how our unconscious patterns and habits kept us stuck in the past or wishing for a different future. If we want a different tomorrow, we need to change something today. AND we need to make the subconscious patterning, conscious. To change the patterns we’ve become accustomed to, our subconscious mind needs to be put in unfamiliar situations. Again and again until the new way of thinking, feeling, behaving is now a new habit. Water was my WEAKNESS!!!!! Back to reality. Spring break is over and you’re already thinking about the next vacation. You can’t stop daydreaming about another getaway or how you can make a little extra money to book that next ticket. The constant craving for more doesn’t stop! Day after day you go through the motions. Sometimes there’s even a hint of guilt for not appreciating the job you do have and the life you are living. After all, you own a home, drive a nice car, and can pay the bills. You did all the things you were ‘supposed’ to do. Go to college, get a ‘good’ job, buy a house, pay the books, book the occasional vacation. Check, check, check. Except you still aren’t satisfied. And let’s face it, you really are barely paying the bills. Your ‘good’ job is no longer the key to a fulfilling life. And maybe it never was. No need to feel guilty about wanting more for your life. This is something I feel like I need to shout from the rooftops: WHEN YOU PUT POSITIVITY OUT INTO THE WORLD YOU GET POSITIVITY BACK! I hope that was clear enough. The same principle applies to speaking positivity into your own life. When you start speaking positively, you start receiving positivity back, which naturally elevates your emotions and thinking patterns. I start every morning with affirmations - it’s one of those non-negotiables I mentioned yesterday. Because I affirm positive things into my life, I find myself thinking more positively - I’m naturally more hopeful and open. I want to challenge you to say one positive thing about yourself right now. What is one thing you absolutely LOVE about yourself? What is a skill you think you’ve mastered? Now tell me... By changing can’t to can and thinking of how the positives of doing these things make you feel will keep you so much happier and less likely to fail and regress every time something crops up in life. Many of us always think of the negatives before the positives and dwell on these which impacts how much we can achieve not just with losing weight but any aspect of life.
