🍻 Cheers to Three Missions Brewery! We’re feeling incredibly grateful for the awesome merchandise we received from them. Our visit to the brewery in Socorro, Texas back in October was a memorable experience. Meeting Rick, the owner, and his fantastic staff made our time there truly special. The brews we tried were top-notch, and we even reviewed some on our account in January. One of the highlights was discovering Rick’s collection of cans from our favorite local brewery, Hidden Springs Aleworks in Florida. It was a nostalgic moment that reminded us of home. Having loved the first beer that I tried from Tampa based Hidden Springs Ale Works, time to go a bit more crazy with this Sour Ale . Pours deep purple in colour with a small light pink head . Aroma brings a real bouquet of tarty, tannic vibes from the black currant before chocolate, vanilla & a nutty note comes in nicely. Some lactic funk sits subtly behind . Medium body with a rich, creamy mouthfeel. Taste starts off with juicy, tarty blackcurrant along with luscious milk chocolate, sweet vanilla and a wonderful nuttiness all combine together so well. Like with the aroma there is a lactic funk that lingers throughout . The finish is juicy, tarty with the chocolate, vanilla and nuttiness still coating the mouth. Next brewery I want to tell you about from my visit to Tampa is @hiddenspringsaleworks - this brewery is one of the REASONS I went to Tampa, and it did NOT disappoint at all. Absolutely loved this one - one of the highlights of my Florida trip! . . Another gorgeous, friendly, comfy taproom, like they all are in the states. I worked my way through a beautifully rainbow coloured flight of beers at a leisurely pace, spending a good chunk of time there. . . Hidden Springs specialise in (basically only do?) fun, interesting, fruity sour beers, which is MY type of beer, so I was probably destined to have a wonderful time here. I had a flight of four and I think my favourite was “Tea’s In The Trap”, which was a black tea and lemonade sour. I don’t even like tea!! But it worked so perfectly in this beer, it was the ultimate refresher, and exactly what I needed at that point in the day. Gorgeous. . . . @disneysprings // @cityworksus . Orlando didn’t have too much beer spots to offer, but inside Disney Springs was a decent spot for some good beers and decent food. A lot of the taps are filled with the bigger “craft” breweries, but I was able to find some alright beers amongst the list. . Top Left // @trippinganimalsbrewing // Ever Haze By far the best beer inside Disney Springs, was my first ever Tripping Animals beer, and was brilliant. Top Right // @bellsbrewery // Two Hearted IPA Another solid IPA, big bitterness and a decent West Coast IPA. Bottom Left// @greenbenchbrewing // Skyway Hazy The only DIPA on the list and another decent DIPA, expected a little more , but decent Juice and quiet smooth. Bottom Right// @hiddenspringsaleworks // ZFG Really nice Pale Ale, Hoppy, Citrus , Tropical and quiet dry.
