This is the first time @butterbakerto has brought this sweet and sour lemon flavour and as usual it did not disappoint! I made a quick last minute stop to @butterbakerto to try out this lemony zesty flavour in hopes that it would give me a piece of summer and Europe all in one! This flavour is a sorbet flavour which is vegan and gluten free. It is made with fresh lemon zest and lemon juice giving you that perfect mix between sour and sweet! Always love making a stop at Toronto’s #1 rated ice cream spot in the city. @booyahinc offers great ice cream sandwiches, ice cream tacos, freshly made cookies, and milkshakes. Normally, I opt for their ice cream sandwiches (check previous reviews), which can be sold in halves or as a whole cookie, with the option of 2 flavours within the cookie, but this time I decided to try something new. @booyahinc sells one of my fave ice cream cookies ever, their cookies are always warm, and freshly made in house. They also offer a vegan/gluten free cookie option from @bunner bake shop. 🍌Today, I got a small scoop of their banana option - and to be fair I went in wanting to try something new and different, but for me this flavour was not my fave. The worker mentioned that their banana flavour is one of their top options and that most people love this flavour. Although my scoop was large, and it came with a quarter piece of cookie, for all the banana lovers this would have been the most ideal scoop ever as it was not too sweet - had a light banana scent, and tasted like a freshly smushed banana. For me, it was not my fave however I can’t say I completely hated it. I guess I was expected a bit more of that fruity flavour with a bit more sweetness. He made one last stop at @cremiahk ice cream shop to try out this wonderful ice cream in all its glory! I just love when ice cream or gelato looks so pretty and very irresistible to eat. Jumping right into this international review, this is known as the regular cremia cone, which is their version of soft serve ice cream, better known as soft cream. It’s made with high quality fresh cream that comes directly from Hokkaido and has a very creamy and rich taste. What’s cool about this cone is that the “swirl” is meant to replicate the image or look of silk. The details of this cone are as follows; this cone is a langue de chat (French cookie) cone which directly compliments the richness of the soft cream and that silk look that we see. Additionally, @saaayc mentioned that there followed a pleasing fragrance of butter which made this cone even more appetizing, and it wasn’t too sweet. This is a fairly new ice cream spot which offers about half a dozen flavours & a monthly feature, additionally they offer vegan flavours. For this month, I opted for their classic strawberry sundae swirl known as their “milk crumb & strawberry.” 🍓I love a good classic strawberry sundae flavour, but @superserve.to offers a twist on this classic option. Served with vanilla & chocolate twist soft serve, milk crumb, macerated strawberries, and of course the classic strawberry syrup to top it off, it was the perfect level of sweetness one needs from this flavour. Overall, it was a great flavour & I thoroughly enjoyed having both the vanilla and chocolate twist with strawberries, it added a bit more of a sweet taste that I crave and look for in ice creams. Although, the swirl itself isn’t giving✨swirl✨in the picture, this traditional flavour is the best of both worlds when it comes to vanilla x chocolate meeting to serve you a cup of sweetness! ❄️New month, new flavour! Excited for this month’s newest flavour at @butterbakerto ! Literally one of my most favourite ice cream shops in the city, and for the month of December they went with a lovely earl grey tea flavour! I think this flavour is perfect for the winter season! I love a nice earl grey in ice cream form! For those that haven’t tried earl grey tea ice cream before, you are missing out. This flavour was very soft in taste, not too strong/bitter as a flavour, but still had a slight sweetness when mixed with the Tahitian vanilla swirl. I got the earl grey and vanilla twist in a waffle cone topped with freeze dry raspberries and I loved every bit of it! Overall, I am a fan of early grey and bubble tea flavoured ice creams, so naturally I did love this month’s flavour, however it is safe to say that most people would enjoy this flabour as it is not too overpowering and/or too sweet! New ice cream spot in town! Stopped by the brand new @superserve.to to try out their soft serve. @superserve.to offers about half a dozen options, a few are customizable ones, vegan options, and they have their monthly feature soft serve which is meant to be super😋. Their monthly feature for October was mocha & coconut soft serve, passion fruit caramel sauce, topped off with pretzel crunch pieces. I’m going to be honest when I first heard the toppings/flavours in this soft serve I did not know what to expect. It was better than I thought but not my fave. The soft serve was very smooth and nice, although the swirl was not giving swirllll in this😝. However the mocha flavour was very overpowering for me. If you aren’t a coffee lover like myself than you’ll find this flavour tasting too much like coffee and a little over powering😝! Still excited that I got to try a new ice cream shop in Toronto! ☀️Bang bang and we are back with a waffle cone from BangBang ice cream shop! Made a little stop at Toronto’s famous ice cream spot, and surprisingly there was no one in line. If you’ve ever been to Bang Bang you know it’s typically a 15+ minute wait to get inside. The flavour I opted for today was a scoop of the boba and a scoop of my ultimate fave London fog (Ceylan tea flavour), both in a warm freshly made waffle cone. This combination of flavours is typically my go to at this spot as they compliment each other perfectly. Both flavours are not too sweet and give a very tea like and cozy flavour. The London fog tastes like a cold tea latte with light sugar and the boba tastes like a lightly sweetened brown sugar bubble tea.
