Here's the breakdown: BRAND NEW DISPLAY @bohochachkies 😍 78 Nassau St just got a lil more exciting!! Now all the handmade jewelry makers are all on one shelf for easy browsing! There is a lot to consider to build a dynamic display for popups and retail spaces and I wanted to share what choices I made and why. Maybe you'll find it interesting. WHAT DID I DO? ✨1. I used a flat wide design, which allows the eyes to scan left to right which is most comfortable and natural for most. ⏩ Before I had a folded wooden display and noticed the earrings on one side were barely being bought, so a wide display like this was much better for a smaller space like this. ✨2. I assigned a theme to each row so that it looks aesthetic and cohesive. And I also put earrings under the last row so it looks more full and brings the eye down to the neutral offerings.. Almost making a border between the colorful pieces and my other offerings on the table. ⏩It may look a lil busy now, but keep in mind once I sell some pieces, I can transfer some up on the pegs! ✨3. I also ensured that even shorties like me (5'3 here🙋🏽♀️) will have no issue reaching the top pegs and won't need to tiptoe to reach the goodies up top. ✨4. I used a basket to hold my earrings that are on sale, it also elevates them and adds some dimension and texture to my display. I also do this by adding my handmade trinket dish under my business cards. ✨5. I always have QR codes in atleast two vantage points so ppl can get easily find me on Instagram where I hang out most. ✨6. I also kept the magnets on a metallic board AKA a cookie tin lid😉 (gotta make it work ya know?) so it adds an interactive element of picking them up, seeing how strongly they stick. ⏩ You can also do this by adding a gumball machine, keep batteries in things that move or have lights, so ppl can test them etc. What do you think of my new display and the tips I shared? Preparing steamed gluten is a laborious process where you must make a dough and wash out all the starch until just the protein remains. This usually takes 20-30 rinses (🥵) or else it will be too chewy. The airy, sponge like texture is important so that it can soak up sauces that it’s cooked in.
