Two of my favourite pieces on current daily rotation: Magma signet and Contrast cuff. These both started out in wax and then sand cast. Taking it to the dark side 🖤 I’ve been making lots of little bar studs this week. Some in classic silver, a new design of 1/2 and 1/2 and one of my favourites, this beautiful deep oxidised silver bar. I love these as a second earring stud with the matt black showcasing a main sparkly silver earring. This is my heart pendant. I first made this around 10 years ago and it’s been a firm favourite in my collection ever since. It’s typically a little more quirky than most hearts you see out there, it’s hung on the side and has a lovely hammer texture. Here is my stag pendant. I have always loved the majesty of this beautiful creature and this was an absolute pleasure to make. I actually started this project on a little pop up work bench while attending a craft fair at castle Howard one Christmas. It was a very quiet event and I was inspired to start making it because of the grandeur of the house and grounds. To begin with I only had the basic tools required for making a simple ring as that’s what I was doing at the fair. However this challenged me to make a simple piece of jewellery that captured the essence of the stag without getting too caught up in the details. I am very proud of this piece and have very fond memories of the process and location in which it was first created.
