Crafted from beautifully figured and matched walnut veneers, with solid walnut handles and contrasting tapering legs and mouldings of beech. It bears a manufacturer’s metal label to the back. Today we resolved one fueling issue - we bypassed the only unknown bit in the fueling system, the filter, and the truck ran smoothly - until it stalled and died when we were coming back, laughing and joking in disbelief at the truck running well after weeks of trying. Now it stalls even when standing, after running on idle revs for about a minute or two. After a brief pause, it can be restarted, but will run for shorter and shorter intervals. Here is the restored chest of drawers, now looking lovely again with a natural satin finish. After stripping and gentle sanding, this was given a couple of coats of shellac polish. The final step was to cut back the polish with some fine wire wool and apply @fiddes_woodfinishes Supreme Wax Polish. Natur-ally Knits - This weekend I've been dyeing up a few more samples to list on the website - launching 1st May! I also managed to get some more seeds sown in my tiny greenhouse. The woad and indigo are coming up, plus the cosmos. I really hope that the weld sprouts, for years it's self seeded in the garden but someone (not me!) has managed to pull them all up and this is the first year that I have no plants growing! Anyway, I have lots of dried Dyer's Chamomile as it's a plant that keeps on giving flowers - the more you pick, the more it flowers! It gives a lovely, softer yellow than weld which is really beautiful. (Yellow has to be one of the worst colours to photograph!) 🤨 Today was a 'blue' day - indigo from @Bailiwick Blue an absolutely gorgeous blue!
