I loved seeing all the creations students made at home to sell to their classmates, the way they were opening shop when they wanted to make money & closing their shops when they were ready to purchase from others periodically, handling Starbucks (our classroom money system) /giving customers change back if needed, and putting items on SALE when they wanted to sell more. One of my favorite end of year activities each year, Camp Learn A - Lot. Each child's desk would become a tent and we'd have a classroom 'fire' in the middle. I used this to review this past years materials prior to state testing or end of year testing. The kids always had great time and so did I. I used 3 personal days earlier this month to go visit a friend and went to New Jersey & New York for the first time! I also got to see a concert when I was there๐ฉต (My favorite thing to do) I get way too caught up in my job sometimes as we all do, but teachers are people too. It was so nice to take a mini break! We have lives outside of school and itโs such a hard balance Iโm still trying to achieve. Our job is so hard and exhausting and teachers are the only ones who get it. My mom always says โI had no idea teachers had to do all this.โ Teacher friends if you made it this far, youโre doing a great job and you are more than enough! Homemade Brown Eโs ๐คฃ๐ I originally saw this idea on Pinterest. Such an easy and fun prank for April Foolโs Day! Part 1: โBrown Eโs anyone??โ I brought out the baking pan with foil over it & I told my students that I spent last night making brown Eโs for the class (I reallly did! I made them with my Cricut). I took a peek and said they look so good (They really did! The perfect color, size, & font). I then carefully removed the foil and revealed the brown Eโs!!! The classroom was full of laughter! They thought it was the funniest thing! I told them they could take their Brown E & foil home to fool their families. Part 2: โBrownies anyone?โ Later in the day I brought out another baking pan with foil over it and told my students that I brought everyone a brownie. โMore Eโs!?!โ they said. This time I quickly removed the foil and revealed Entenmannโs Little Bites Brownies!!
