My uncle used to get me a Valentine's Day gift every year. He would set up my display, so i woke up to it in the morning. I continue this tradition with Kinsley, and I'm adding the boys this year(also their bday). Nothing too extravagant, just "you are loved" gifts. I treat my kids the way my pops treated me. Love on them so fiercely that they can't help but love themselves. It's the little things that count. My pops always gave me a stuffed animal, candy, a card, and some cash. I got the kids. Mini Stanley's, an art project, candy, jewelry, valentines day hoodies/shirts and cash. But i forgot to get the stuffies and the balloons smh. Yes, i am and will forever be the "extra" parent . My dad’s passing and subsequent professional and personal upheavals, combined with the loss of my mom, led to an internal struggle in pursuing dance for the fun of it. Her class was well prepared and fun and her jazz dancers next door also enthusiastically greeted me as she gave her tour.
