I released my first EP Wildfire last year. It hasn't quite been a year yet but it's still doing the rounds on ABC Country, Australian Country Radio and other broadcasters around Australia. It got a spin on Double J last year and has received airplay in Ireland and Canada. The album is named after my daughter, Fleur Wildfire. Her middle name derived from a mixture of sorts. It started as Wilde after the name of one of our favourite localities around Robertson, it evolved into Wildflower but we settled on Wildfire after the name of a John Mayer song from the album Paradise Valley which Mel and I listened to on repeat when we started dating. Co-produced by Brandon Dodd, Andrew Banovich and myself at the @therabbitholerecordingstudio. Featuring legends such as Jeff McCormack on bass and Bill Chambers on slide. G'day. I'm Loki Hines. I'm a singer-songwriter-guitarist, living in the NSW Southern Highlands of Australia. I've been playing guitar longer than I could walk. I'm heavily influenced by artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Mayer, Bob Dylan, the Three Kings (BB, Albert and Freddy King), U2, the Brothers Landreth, Jason Isbell and Colter Wall. I'm a mixed bag of Americana, alt-country, infused with a bit of blues, jazz, funk and rock. But like most artists, I don't like to be tied down to a specific genre - my style is ever evolving. I'm at home on the road and I'm a bit old school. I prefer performing and building my following organically. I'm a bit of a show pony and can put on a hell of a one man show...but I love nothing more than jamming with a ripping band! Some of you may not know I've been a sober man for the past six months. I used to be a bit of a rat bag, your typical suffering musician type, but I'm a family man and now 110% focussed on my craft - alc free. If you're heading to a show expect to see my kids running around causing a ruckus, almost out shining their dad. And just as they say it takes a village to raise a family, it is not unlike the creative process. I wouldn't be here doing what I do without my beautiful lady and the music community that have become family I've claimed along the way. I released an EP called Wildfire in 22/23, which I co-produced with @dingomusicproductions and @andrewbanovich at @therabbitholerecordingstudio. While I was there I was lucky enough to work with artists such as @kaseychambersmusic @chambersbill1950 and Jeff McCormack. Wildfire has been well-received thus far, with the singles "Running out of time" and "Mona" receiving high rotation airplay regionally and overseas. Recently I performed at the historic Tamworth Town Hall opening for Kasey Chambers at the @tcmf_official. It was a sell out crowd and I was lucky enough to be invited back on stage after my set to perform new songs from my upcoming album due for release in 2024. Week Four, 2024... God where do I begin? As you may know I nearly didn't make it to Tamworth. How lucky I am that I did though, because once that was sorted the Queen of Australian Country @kaseychambersmusic gave me the call up to open for her at the historic Tamworth Town Hall. As well as playing my own set opening for Kasey I was honoured to later rejoin Kasey and the band back up on stage to play a song from my upcoming album. What a thrill to play live with my good mates and industry greats @syd_green @chambersbill1950 @dingomusicproductions and Jeff McCormack. Earlier this week I played @the_press_basement_bar for a secret little jam with Kasey and friends of @therabbitholerecordingstudio I did it again at @thepub with the iconic @billchambers and his band. I hung out with good mates. I made new mates. I saw incredible gigs put on by crazy awesome musicians such as @melodymoko @josielaver____ @roryphillipsau @henrywagons And I topped it off with a super informative info session with the people of @soundsaustralia where I met industry folk in the know including Natalie Waller from @abcmusic, Roxanne Brown (manager @troycassardaley), Megan Hopkins (@kixcountryradio), Johnno Keetels (@bigloud) and Stef Russin (@teg_live). I even met @fannylumsden who my fiancé had been - not so secretly - stalking via her socials. I'm back home now. 2024, Week Three... The week that was. Leaving for Tamworth in three days. I nearly didn't make it to Tamworth but some lovely people hooked me up with accom in the final hour and I couldn't be more grateful because after that everything else has seemingly fallen into place. I received the call up from @kaseychambersmusic to play support for her one and only Tamworth gig at The Tamworth Town Hall, Thursday 25th, 8pm. My Fat Lady is on her last legs and the good people at @coleclarkguitars invited me onboard to be an Official Cole Clark Artist this week. That's been a long time coming for me since I've played that big Fat Lady to death and resurected her more times than I can count. Besides that I've been working behind the scenes this week, connecting and booking in gigs for the rest of the year. Working on my truck getting her road worthy for the solo drive upto the country music capital of Australia. I'll spend this weekend working on a set list, something I've rarely done for a show in the past. I like to perform more intuitively as an artist, but when the Queen of Country gives you the call up, you make sure you put together a show unlike any show you've done before!!!
