Every year I like to volunteer and offer my Photography services to a worthy cause or something community related. Local theatre groups are truly a labour of love and bring the arts to our doorstep. So much volunteered time and energy goes into putting these productions together. And we are so lucky to have a theatre with such a high calibre of actors, directors, producers & crew here for us all to enjoy in the Macedon Ranges. Last year I approached @themountplayers Theatre in Macedon. This theatre holds a special place in my heart, as my dear old Dad (who passed 6 years ago), my brother, my Mum and many family friends have had a lot to do with this wonderful theatre group over the years. So many of them being on stage, back stage, helping front of house or attending the shows. There are an incredible amount of stories and history embedded into the walls and stage of this amateur theatre group, that has been churning out productions for the past 50 or so years. In the past month, I’ve been popping up to take photos during rehearsals for their next production⹁ “Looped" that opens this Friday night. Written by Matthew Lombardo, this is a play about an event surrounding actress Tallulah Bankhead in 1965. Set in a recording studio in Los Angeles, trying to re-record (loop) just one single line of dialogue from her film "Die! Die! My Darling!", took an astonishing 8 hours to record! Director: Peter Newling Producer: Fiona MacPherson The Cast: Vicki Smith – Tallulah Bankhead, Darren Gregor - Danny Miller, Tom Seddon – Steve The show will run from this Friday 10th of May to Sunday 26th of May. Part 2: Ignite your passion retreat - 21.04.24 @mattandnatmindset For me a highlights was participating in the Fire and Ice experience. It consisted of going into a pool of 19-21degrees Celcius believe me it's cold! Then going into the sauna, then the plunge pool 5 degrees Celsius Back in the pool which now feels warm. Back into the sauna then back into the plunge pool. It was great to see the transformation and capture the experience on 📸 From fear to accomplishment!
