So Johannesburg has been BUZZING about this new water park. We decided to brave the weather, beat the crowd, and get the inside scoop for ourselves. And boy!, Are we glad that we did. For the pre launch price that we paid, it was definitely worth it. The slides are next level compared to any other water parks that I've been to around here, and the wave pool packs such a punch. Our bodies are aching in the best possible way, we went in each slide at least four times! I have to say that the best thing about the park is the staff! They are so friendly and pumped up. So enthusiastic about their jobs, and honestly, their knowledgeable demeanor, and attention to detail makes you feel a hundred percent safe. It is the little things that make a place, and the hundreds of life jackets, rocking chairs, and clean walkways are the nicest touch. The finishings have a distinct look about it, and my husband and I instantly thought back to our travels to Beijing. I personally wish that the park had more of an African, or just a more cohesive look to it, but maybe Suncity's beauty is just ingrained in my head. It's still in the pre launch stages, so when everything is properly completed I expect it will look so much more seamless. I do also hope that a coffee vendor is planned to open in the future. I was pleasantly surprised to see a halal vendor, and more food options would be great. I love that this park is practically on my doorstep, extremely child friendly, and such fun for the adults too! Take advantage of their pre launch special and do invite your aunt's, mum's and cousin's, and make the most joyful day of it. But once she figured out that her @littleexperimenter binocular has a flash light in it, she can't wait for night time to come fast enough. She peeps through the windows and tries to find the squirrels nesting in the trees around out apt.
