There is always time. The laundry will still be there. Putting God first in my day the last couple weeks has brought me so much peace. In difficult times it is easy in our humanness to only see the difficulty. If we can simply remember Who we serve and just how big He is. Eternal perspective is essential. I have started asking myself this simple question: Is this choice going to bring me closer to God and move me towards my purpose. God is calling me deeper. I have lost sight in the last 4 years of my purpose. God is reminding me of the Kingdom Warrior He created me to be, and the legacy I am leaving. It is time for me to get my health back. I have let it go the last four years and I’m not getting any younger and have so much more to teach and learn from my legacy of kingdom warriors. So, if you know me at all you will know what this means. Kingdom Warrior Bootcamp is coming, my early Mother’s Day present to myself. My health. My spiritual health. My physical health. My mental health. My spiritual health will be strengthened as I go through The Armor of God study with my tribe. My physical health will be challenged and strengthened 30 minutes a day with some of the best trainers available @bodi I must also get back to clean eating. Hate to admit it but my busy #singlemomlife has me falling back into bad habits of fast food and too much caffeine. Excited for the meal plans that will be included for my tribe. My mental health. Workouts, quiet time with the Lord, prayer … these all aide in mental health. We are a triple threat when all three areas are healthy. But if one area becomes weak it is only a matter of time before the others fall out of balance too. Be on the look out as I get my tribe together for Kingdom Warrior Bootcamp coming May 6th for a 7-week adventure discovering all God created us to be. Mondays the most difficult and busy days of my week. I have already been working for a few hours and if I’m honest I am feeling a lil’ defeated … BUT GOD … So very grateful for a short moment with my @jfleischman to refocus and remember the importance of our eternal perspective. As I learned yesterday @gracegoshen it is so vital to pray 3 things daily: 1. Pray for wisdom to live your life with the end in sight. 2. Pray the Lord would satisfy you with Himself. 3. Pray that God’s favor would be on the work of your hands. Becoming a full-time working mom at 46 has taken its toll the last 3 years, in so many areas of my life but rather than be discouraged or disheartened I must remember God’s plans are perfect and I need to stay focused on His ways and not my own. So if you are dreading Monday, have hope, this life is temporary and the things of this world will fade away but the work we do here on earth for eternity’s sake will never return void. Grateful for my new found community at @gracegoshen and @defiance_christian_church where I am reminded that this life isn’t about the stress or worry of parenting, finances or any worldly thing but all about what God is refining, healing and growing each of us in, even if only one small step at a time. And yes that in return creates a powerful force necessary to combat evil. Necessary to keep each other alive in combat applications across the globe. • This is something very specific to me that I have struggled with for quite some time. How can I be called, How can I be a son of God, How can I be chosen, How could HE love such a wretched person like me who has been a part of and done the unthinkable? • What if I told you that HE knew exactly what HE was doing with you all along? That early bread of Warrior mentality would be used in a different manner. You see many claim we have to be a certain way in order to call ourselves Christians. So..., Macc & the Monk did a thing... We released our 1st video podcast episode today. I can see that our YouTube channel is getting a lot more traction than Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and others. I know that YouTube is very popular, and we're very excited to have the opportunity to use that platform! But I wanted to bring up an advantage some of you may want to take advantage of on Spotify. As many of you know, unless you're paying, when you're watching something on YouTube, the video and sound shut off if/when your screen shuts off, due to you not staring at it. However, this doesn't happen on Spotify. If you're driving, or you just need to put your phone down, while you do the dishes, and your phone screen shuts off, Spotify will continue to play, and you can listen while you drive or scrub that dirty pot that the kids were supposed to clean last night! Yesterday our son, Luke, left for the Army. It was so hard! 😭 It was harder than we thought it would be. We’re a close family and the pain of his absence and not being able to communicate is deep. For Emerson Jana and her family, too. Our family took the day to comfort one another and just be together. We felt like such babies lol. But we know this is the right thing for him and we are so proud of him! The last call we got was late last night and was about 20 seconds, obviously read from a script, telling us he arrived safely and he’d contact us when he can and then he hung up. This is standard protocol. Before that he told us they wouldn’t sleep all night until 9pm tonight. We all prayed over him the night before with the Jana family and one of the prayers is that God would provide an instrument along the way for him to play to calm his nerves and to bless others. Sure enough, after he got off the bus there was a guitar in the corner of the room. Thank you Jesus! It brought him and the others such peace in that moment as he played. He will be different when he comes home. That boy will become a man. Here’s a pic of him at the airport and a pic of the guitar. From the brains of a pregnant momma who just experienced her first “babymoon”....... There is something to be said about stepping away from the chaos/hustle and bustle of life and just “being”. Sometimes embracing the uncomfortable can be the most rewarding times of your life. Despite everything going on in our lives right now, John and I decided that booking the tickets and going on our ‘babymoon’ was the best thing for us right now, and let me tell you, it WAS the best thing for us. Financially this trip was something that was stretching me comfort wise, but John asked me to trust him and that this would be the best thing for us individually as much as our marriage. There is always more money to make, and always more ways to spend the money. Spending 5 days away from the chaos, and truly wholeheartedly embracing the presence of each other and the blessings around us, really was what our souls needed. For 5 days: We remained social media free. We spent every minute of the day together. We experienced many of God’s glories. We connected on an emotional level. We had real heartfelt discussions about life. We dreamed about what our future will look like. We embraced the unknown. We found calm in the chaos. We found comfort and solace in simply just being present with each other’s presence. Did everything on the trip go 100% smoothly and perfectly, absolutely not. But if that isn’t a testament to life, I don’t know what is. I remember one of our beautiful early morning walks John looked over at me and said he was so glad we took the trip and how much peace he felt about life and our future. For me, that was the biggest reward of the trip. Feeling such peace with life and being right alongside the partner God has molded for me, and heading into one of the most chaotic and beautiful seasons of our lives has me over the moon excited. To our sweet baby, mommy and daddy are so excited and honored to be your parents and raise up a warrior of the kingdom. To those that texted me and asked me why I am not singing and that you're missing me...... I've made the painful decision to step down from the worship team, I stepped down knowing I sang from my heart and meant every word that came out of my lips, I remained obedient and submitted to every change I was put thru because I know there's no leaf that falls off, if it's not God's will, but, I'm tired, bruised and hurt, it's been a long journey. I served for 12 long years and I know I will miss it terribly, but I also know God has other plans for me that are far greater. I'm grateful for the lessons learned and I'm currently being very intentional in seeking the Lord and his direction, while I heal. This is not a goodbye, it's a see you later, I know I will sing again, it's my calling, just not from the same altar.
