How’s everybody doing? What a fun week I’ve had… yesterday (Saturday), I purchased Massive Attack - Heligoland on vinyl. It’s such an amazing album and the artwork is one (if not my favourite) pieces. As a graphic designer I think it’s super special. Designed by is a collaboration between Tom Hingston and Robert Del Naja and the album was Massive Attacks 5th studio work, released on 8th February, 2010 and it is amazing. It’s going on the wall, pride of place, in a beautiful frame. To say I’m chuffed is an understatement! Last Sunday I saw my son, Finn for the first time since December 23rd. His mother only thought he should know about my stroke on Sunday. This is not a criticism, I may add, however, he now knows how I haven’t been able to drive (he thought it was because of having a new knee)… life is never easy as Fontaine DC sing about (what a band they are, by the way!)… Lee Bay I have missed you! Photo 3 is by @soffroni Sofia Bonati and is a current favourite of mine at the moment: I love this particular piece of originality! Also, photo 4 shows Gil on our new linen quit cover! The colour is ‘Warm Clay’ and it’s such an amazing colour (Gil loves it too and he’s only allowed on for short bursts!) Last photo of the chair, is going to be my new project of making all things wood… I am so excited, so, more about that in due time. It’s all sweet at the moment, I can’t wait. Life is never easy, but it’s what you make it and I LOVE mine. Thanks family for all your support, just be thankful for what you’ve got xx

Soms moet je een stap terug doen om vervolgens weer verder vooruit te kunnen. De een heeft wat meer tijd nodig dan de ander, maar de weg ernaartoe kun je soms beter langzamer bewandelen om er meer van te leren. Sometimes the bad days seem to crawl by like a snail, but know that these days, just like the snail, sometimes take some time to get to something good. Do not give up. Know that you are not alone and seek support from family, friends or professionals if you need some help to discover where your strength lies. Sometimes you have to take a step back in order to move forward again. ✨weekend workouts✨ A month or so ago, I got an injury. I strained an intercostal muscle and that hurt like nothing I had ever experienced. Breathing was painful, walking was painful, basically being alive was painful🫣 Luckily, that’s all healed now but I was talking with my bf yesterday and I realised that I was still letting the fear of that hold me back from giving my all on back and bicep training sessions. It made me realise how subconsciously we all allow these little fears and concerns hold us back from achieving our potential. Brains are weird! So I put my fears aside, I put the gym straps on and lifted a new PB on rack pulls! Because whatever I am feeling, I’ll get it done!
