1449mの指山。長者原ビジターセンターから一番近いピークです。ミヤマキリシマ、咲き始めてましたよ😌 写真によっては満開か？と思われる方もいらっしゃるかもですが、全体的にまだ蕾です。虫はいませんでした👍 新緑、青空、心地よい風、正面に迫り来る三俣山の迫力。もうテンションが上がるしかない条件が揃い、誰もいない山頂で岩の上に寝転がったり、草原を駆け回ったりと、まんまと山の「子どもに戻るマジック」にかかってしまいました💦 比較的低山とはいえ、侮るなかれ指山、です。雨上がりは急坂がかなり滑り、登りも降りもかなり筋力使います😅 1449m Mt. It is the closest peak from Chojabaru. Miyamakirishima, a kind of azalea, has started to bloom. It was a cool morning yesterday and I enjoyed a very comfortable climb. 野焼きの後に現れるキスミレ。くじゅうの春の風物詩ですが、日本のキスミレの分布は山梨県以南、大群落となれば阿蘇、富士の火山周辺に限られています。草原環境が好きなキスミレ、温暖で草木が茂りやすい九州では、太古の昔から行って来た野焼きがなければ絶えてしまっていたかもしれないそうです。 自然に対しては何かと悪さばかりするニンゲンですが、このようにスミレとの友情が長い歴史を持っていることがちょっと嬉しかったりもします😊 タデ原ではハルリンドウ、リュウキンカ、サクラソウも顔を出しています🌸夏草が茂る前のほんのひと時、小さな花たちが主役になれるステージです✨ We can see Golden spreading over the field after controlled burning. タデ原湿原の野焼きもようやく完了です。「くじゅうの春は黒」と言われてきましたが、まさに色のない、真っ黒な大地が広がっています。 早くに野焼きが終わった竹田側の一番水周辺では、キスミレをはじめ、様々な春の花が咲き誇っています🌸spring ephemeral （春の儚いものたち）と呼ばれる、他の植物が繁る前だけに会える小さな花々がタデ原を彩るのももうすぐです😊 Noyaki (controlled burning) of the Tadewara marsh has finally been completed. 「二度目に九重山を訪れたのは3月の半ばで、ちょうど久住高原の野焼きに際会した。火の手はあちこちに上がり、それが広い野をまるで波濤のように寄せてくる。（中略）青い空に煙があがり、その煙の合間に、まだ頂上に雪のある九重の山々が潔く立っていた。」 （日本百名山 深田久弥 著より） まさに深田氏が眺めていたであろう情景が繰り広げられた久住高原の野焼き。凍てつく雪の頂と灼熱の火のコントラストが、この時期のくじゅうを物語っています。今日も飯田は雪が降りました。心も天気も落ち着かない季節ですね。 ``The second time I visited Mt. 先週末は雪、昨日は晴れ、今日は暖かく雨嵐‥ コロコロ変わる天気に登山の方ももスキー場も振り回されている今日この頃です🌀 先週末の冷え込みの際は、美しい雨氷が見られました✨氷の中に閉じ込められた赤い実。韓国で話題の「タンフル」という、串に刺したフルーツに飴掛けしたスイーツを彷彿とさせます😊 雨氷は、過冷却になった雨粒が、木の枝などに当たった衝撃で一瞬で凍るというマジックのような珍しい現象です🧊 願わくば、一晩中木を見張って、雨が氷に変化しながら植物を覆っていく過程を観察してみたいです。 冬の景色と、春を告げるマンサクが混在するこの季節。心もそわそわおちつかないですね💦 It snowed last weekend, it was sunny yesterday, and today it's warm and rainy. 2月最後の今日、閏年29日は雨嵐‥でも27日と28日は晴れて冷え込み、とっても美しい霧氷と冬景色が見れましたよ☃️咲いたばかりのマンサクに雨氷が着いて、飴細工のお花のようです。暮雨の滝の美しい緑色と雪のコントラストも綺麗です。 もう知っている人も少ないと思いますが、文部省唱歌に「冬景色」という美しい歌があります。 狭霧消ゆる 港江の 船に白し 朝の霜 ただ水鳥の声はして 未だ覚めず 岸の家 狭霧は秋の季語だし、場面は海辺で全く写真と関係ないのですが、冬景色というとこの曲を思い出します。日本の景色に馴染む美しい歌で、忘れてはならない和の心を感じます✨ 外国にばかり憧れていた私に、それとなく両親が聞かせてくれた思い出の歌です😌 Today, the last day of February, the 29th of a leap year, it was raining and stormy. 暮雨の滝では氷瀑とはいかないまでも、立派なつららが見れますよ❄️吉部登山口から1時間かららない所にあるのですが、登山道から滝に降りる分岐点を見逃さないことと、滝まで降りる坂がかなり急で、雪があると滑りやすいことに注意してくださいね。 小さな滝ですが、森の中にぽっかりと現れる緑色の滝壺は幻想的で、突然異空間に迷い込んだような気持ちになります✨ 水の流れる音と鳥の声しか聞こえないおとぎの国、ぼんやり見つめていると伝説の竜や水の妖精ウンディーネに会えそうな気がしてきます。 At Kurasame Falls, you can see magnificent icicles now. ❄️ It takes less than an hour from Yoshibu trailhead, but be careful not to miss the junction where the trail descends to the falls, and be aware that the slope down to the falls is quite steep and slippery especially when there is snow on the ground. It is a small waterfall, but the green basin that appears in the middle of the forest is fantastic and makes you feel as if you have suddenly wandered into a different world ✨. クリスマス寒波がやって来ました☃️ 毎年、クリスマス前になるとやってくる寒波。先週の金曜日はびっくりするくらい暖かかったのに‥長者原周辺、今や銀世界です🌨️ キンキンに冷え込むと、雪は雪の結晶のまま空から降って来ます。一つとして同じ形はなく、手にのせるとあっという間に姿を消してしまう天然雪の結晶❄️はっとするほど美しく儚く、素直に「ああ、綺麗だな」という言葉が出てしまいます。 写真は17、18日のものですが、今日20日も雪がしんしんと降っております。 九州にいながら、この景色を拝めるとはなんという贅沢でしょう✨ The Christmas cold wave has arrived in Kuju. 22日の中岳、御池です。前回の写真と比べると、雪も氷もかなり解け、流氷のような雰囲気を醸し出しています。スケートリンクのように完全凍結するのが待ち遠しいですね。この日は快晴で、白と青のコントラストがなんとも美しいです。 写真後半は19日のタデ原から見た三俣山です。青空と白い雲も相まって、新海誠監督のアニメーションのような美しい景色でした✨ 今週末も冷え込むようですが、雪予報は出ておらず‥山の天気は予測不能ですので、山だけ雪が降ったりすることもあります⛄️山装備には気をつけて登山されてくださいね。 The photos of Oike pond near Mt.Nakadake on the 22nd. 11月13日、三俣山初冠雪❓初霧氷❓です❄️ 当日登山された方の情報としては、山頂では雪がちらついていたということですので、初雪と言ってもいいかもしれません。今日は風も強い雨模様‥どんよりとした寒い1日となりそうです。 明日の天気予報では雪がちらつくとか‥⛄バタバタと紅葉が終わったと思ったら、駆け足で冬がやって来ました。登山の方は装備に気をつけられてくださいね。 日本各地で熊被害の情報がありますが、九州には熊がいません🐻1940年代までいたそうですが、今では絶滅したとされています。安心な登山ができる、と嬉しい一方で、熊がいない理由が、「人工林が多く、熊の餌となるドングリが少ない」「都市開発で山と山が孤立してしまった」などと聞くと、熊がいないことが喜ばしいことなのか分からなくなります‥ On November 13th, Mt. 晩秋の装いのくじゅうです。 瀬の本側の風景、まるで外国のような雰囲気です。そういえば、カナダから来られた方が、故郷の風景に似ているとおっしゃったこちがあります。 今は、紅葉を見るなら、やまなみハイウェイドライブが楽しいかもしれませんね🚗お山の葉っぱはほとんど落ちてしまいました😢 男池もタデ原湿原も、夏とは全く違う姿です。このような美しい四季があることに感謝感謝です🍁 Kuju in late autumn. 今年の紅葉も終盤です🍁とても綺麗に色づいていましたが、昨日は暴風雨でかなり散ってしまいました😢赤く見えていたお山もずいぶん茶色に見えます。 吉部から大船に登る途中にある暮雨の滝や男池と言った、標高の低いところではまだ楽しめるかもしれません。散った落ち葉の絨毯をサクサク踏みながら歩くのも楽しいです♪ ですが、落ち葉や枯葉のイメージとしては、今から冬に向かう侘しさや寂しさを持たれる方が多く、有名なシャンソン、「Les Feuilles morten (枯葉)」のメロディも歌詞も切ないです。 今は枯葉が風に集められ 思い出と後悔もまた 北風に吹かれ 寒い夜の忘却の彼方へ運ばれていく そんな切なさを吹き飛ばすほど、今年の紅葉は美しく、気持ちを高揚（紅葉だけに😅）させてくれました🍁この美しい風景、期間限定で儚いからこそ大切に思えます。 This year's autumn leaves are coming to an end….Yesterday's rainstorm caused a lot of them to scatter 😢 Even the mountains that looked red now look a lot browner. この写真、何かに似てないでしょうか？ 私は勝手に、「オーストラリアの夕日に映えるウルル（エアーズロック）だ✨」と感じたのですが、どうでしょうか💦 皆さんどこかわかるでしょうか？正解は‥岩井川岳から見た扇ケ鼻の紅葉です🍁 草原の上にぽっかり赤く染まったお山が浮かんでいるようで、とても素敵です。 赤川登山口から久住山、扇ケ鼻を経由して、岩井川岳まで足を伸ばしてみると、この紅葉ピークの時期でも静かな登山と、なかなか見れない絶景が楽しめます♪ 登りはキツイかもですが、それ以上に得るものが多いルートです😊 お山の紅葉も終盤を迎えましたが、まだまだ綺麗ですよ。今までとはちょっと違うルートにチャレンジするのはとても楽しいものです♪ Doesn't this photo resemble something? Iwaikawa, you can enjoy a quiet climb even in this busy season and a spectacular view. The climb may be tough. The language of gentian flowers is “I will be with you when you are sad.” Gentians do not grow in cluster, but rather quietly bloom alone in the meadow, peering upward even in the late autumn. The deep blue of gentian does not “dispel the sadness and brighten the mood”, but “sympathize with the sadness or loneliness and be close to you”. The temperature has dropped suddenly and the leaves has been turning into autumn colors. The pictures are mainly of Mt.Kutsukake and Makinoto pass. Waves of golden grass wait for you in the Tadewara Wetlands! 🌾👋 The Tadewara Wetlands is a 1,000 m high wetland part of Aso-Kuju National Park in Oita prefecture. It has a large area and is protected by the 2005 Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance. There are three marked routes over cedar boardwalks specially built to avoid stepping on the valuable plants such as sphagnum moss, which grows in colonies and stores lots of water. 🥾🌳 In autumn, the grasses in the Tadewara Wetlands turn a delightful golden brown in fall beautifully contrasting with the mountains on the horizon. 農鳥小屋の水のこと 今年はオヤジさんが怪我をして小屋開きはしてなくて、大門沢小屋の方がたまに来て管理をしてくれているらしい。その影響で小屋から少し降りた水場は開栓してなかった。 だから基本はその前日の山小屋、大門沢小屋や北岳山荘や肩ノ小屋から水を担いで来ることが必要。農鳥小屋にも雨水があるから浄水して飲む事はできるけどそれも限りはあって、満杯にあった雨水は3連休の日曜、たった1日で半分以下になっていた… 後々大門沢小屋の人と話してたけどもう半分もなくなってたよって話をしたら渋い顔してて、あの雨水もわざわざ下降点を登って管理してくれてるんだろうなぁって感じる。あんまりあの雨水を使う前提で考えたくはない😵 そんな方に朗報な情報を… 間ノ岳から農鳥小屋の途中にある三国平の方へ向かう巻道を行くと、湧水があった！今の時期ならかなり湧いててとっても美味しい水。秋口には枯れちゃう事もあるとか。あとガレ場なので注意。あとは自己責任ですが>< でもこの道は超超超超景色がいいので、普通に歩きたい道で最高だった！ https://www.yamareco.com/modules/yamareco/detail-5721532.html こうした水ひとつ取っても、山小屋の人たちが頑張って管理してくれている。本当に感謝しかない。だからこそ彼らに頼り過ぎず自分たちでも出来ることを前提とした準備をして、山と向き合いたいなぁと思う山行でした⛰️ #mountain #mountains #mountaintrekking #mountainclimbing #trekking #climbing #kujumountains #tentcamping #outdoors #登山 #テント泊登山 #南アルプス #白峰三山 #北岳 #間ノ岳 #農鳥岳 #肩の小屋 #農鳥小屋

If I have a chance to author a book like "Guide to Shugendo Mountains," I would introduce Kuju Mountains in the first chapter for beginner edition. Centering at the main peak Mt. Kuju, surrounding peaks had held temples such as Ikaraji, Hokkein, and Kinzanbo. Within a comparatively compact range, stunning scenes unfold wonder by wonder: the sacred pond "Miike," a sandy-plane "Kita-Senrigahama," and even a secret hot spring at Hokkein Onsen Sanso Lodge. Despite full of charms, the mountains are accessible for beginners, though one-day hike would be too short to enjoy all. The fuming peak Mt. Io had also been worshipped. While Kinzanbo Temple engaged in pacifying the deity, Yamabushi were there to watch the sulfur mine as well. They seem to have been not well-behaved and had once written pledges including "No stealing. No gambling." Although "No alcohol more than a cup" might be reasonable, there were also worldly clauses: "No advising to fights. No abusing against other sects. No eloping with someone else's wife." Later, there were edicts to them such as "No using black magics to earn one's living."
