Judit picked the gorgeous colour combinations for our embroidery thread kits in On Stage - Long Métrage. This sleek 1-ply yarn with a light sheen is perfect for the beautiful embroidery templates she designed!✨ My second Flora Rustica is ready to be embroidered (actually it’s my third that I knitted)! I have a soft spot for the sweet little bee, Judit designed. So, I‘ll keep the best for last. For this bag, I used Foxen meets Merino in this tender light blue shade. Plejades is a plant-dyed colour, lovingly hand-dyed by @wildeseele . There are three essentials to pack when I am travelling!🧳 1) my knitting 🧶 This time, I brought along my testknit for the Back to Nature cardigan, the beautiful new design by @kaiserstrickdesign , knit in On Stage - Long Métrage and Silk Divine held together. As you can see, I went for the pink as main colour, not the olive. Most of you chose that anyway. 2) my project bag It was an easy choice to pick this super cute bag by @ku.ni.ber.ta ! Das geschichtsträchtige Haus unter Denkmalschutz vereint historische und moderne Elemente auf wunderbare Weise.✨ Die Sonderausstellung der Werke von Kurt Kranz ist eine Inspiration für alle, die Farben lieben!🎨 Kurt Kranz (1910-1997) studierte von 1930-1933 am Bauhaus. Seine Fotoreihen, Matrixbilder, Faltobjekte, Raster und Gitter sind wegbereitend bis heute. I haven’t posted for some time, I have nonetheless been very active with my hands! After all these big projects, riddari, etc. I longed for smaller springful ones! One of them is a sweater for my daughter and the wish to use it for my first embroidery attempt, as I find Judit’s creations all so beautiful and her book a jewel, so I would soon like to give it a try☺️ for this I knitted one recommended sweater in a yarn that I mostly love, as it is Gots certified, and the touch is so lovely, rustikal and soft, perfect for kids and more! Second embroidery project complete! My tension is still a little loose, but I’m still learning how to judge how tight the yarn should be with the interfacing between. My goal was to steadily increase my skill set with simple stitches, but I’m so anxious to try one of the insects! So I’m going to attempt a moth next. About 2 weeks ago I was planning to attend a workshop at Loop in London run by Judit Gummlich author of the beautiful book “Embroidery on Knits” . Unfortunately Judit was ill and had to cancel but I decided to practice some embroidery on the sample of knitting I had prepared for the workshop. I’m so pleased I did as I learned so much. It will be ages before the cardigan and sweater I am planning to embellish will be finished so in the meantime I shall be doing some more practice using a different stabiliser recommended by Judit. I might even do some embroidery on some already completed knitting.
