This is a short review of set 43212, the 'Disney Celebration Train'. It is sold for an MSRP of €39.99 Building experience: (5/10) This set is a 4+ set, so for an adult this build is way too easy and the instructions are too long. But despite the simplicity of the build, I did quite enjoy it. The train parts really come together nicely. It is finished pretty quickly though, so get a different set if you are looking for the best building experience. Final model: (9/10) This set just looks great in my opinion. As a father, I know a lot of people get a wooden train as decoration for the baby room. This model is a great alternative to that as it looks great as a display model. I only think the Minnie Mouse stand does not add much to this set. I would have either have an additional train cart or a lower set price without this stand. Parts: (8/10) The best thing of 4+ sets is that it never contains stickers, but printed parts only. There are some nicely printed parts, as well as some Disney specialized parts. Overall a pretty nice varied parts pack. Minifigures: (9/10) The minifigures are the main draw to get this set. All six of them are rare or unique and they all look great in my opinion. My favorite is probably Vaiana/ Moana because of its detailed prints. Value: (4/10) The price of €39.99, is on the high side for what you get. Luckily, it is not an exclusive set, which means you can easily get hold on this for a reduced price (at least here in the Netherlands). I think if you can get this set somewhere between 25-30 euro, you got a great deal. Final thoughts: Overall, this set is surprisingly good for a 4+ set. The only weak point is the easy and quick build. The high price can be fixed to search/wait for a discount since it is not exclusive. So I recommend to get this set if you either like the minifigs or like to display it in a baby room, but wait for a discount 😊.
