Euronews: Canada has legalized recreational marijuana use. The Canadian Senate approved a historic bill on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, declaring personal use of limited and specified amounts of marijuana legal for individuals over 18. The majority of both representatives and senators voted in favor of this bill, with 205 votes for and 82 against in the House of Commons, and 52 votes for and 29 against in the Senate. Senator Tony Dean, one of the architects of this bill, praised the Liberal government’s step and the historic vote in the Senate and House, saying: “90 years of prohibition has come to an end.” The photo series “For Personal Use” covers the topic of tobacco and marijuana use, as well as other substances in public places and streets.
