My crested gecko got a really big upgrade. She was in a 18x18x24 and she is now in a 36脳18脳24 so basically double what she had. I also had the DIY background that took up a inch or two on all 3 sides. So she's definitely got more room. Sonerila sp Pulchela one of my favorite vivarium plants. This is in bloom almost always its crazy. It obviously likes where it is. I mean how C馃槏馃槏L is this plant with its neon green leaves and purple and yellow blooms... are you kidding me. If you are into vivarium plants its a must have. A little on the pricey side ($39.99) but very hardy and very worth it IMO. Very rare picture of my Dendrobates Auratus Rio Cascajal. They are extremely shy and are rarely caught out for more than a few seconds as juveniles. Very beautiful frog... they are under rated in the hobby in my opinion because they are almost all black as babies. They get beautiful as a adult with the silver and bronze paired with the black. They also get bolder as adults I've heard...they definitely are becoming more bold in recent weeks. Well, the substrate layer and back are done. Now to work on creating the focal point and vines. The focal point is going to be a tree in the center that will then be covered in moss and air plants. I have a few mushroom ledges I'm working on as well to create even more vertical levels. It's coming together quite nicely. I just put in some of the new bio crew who will be inhabiting the lowest levels. P pruinosis Orange, blue, and white, tropical springtails, a nice group if Arcitalitrus sylvaticus, and some Alphitobius diaperinus. I'm trying to decide which other invertebrate janitorial members I should add. Macodes Petola is a species of jewel orchid endemic to South-east Asia including Malaysia, New Guiena, Philippines, and Sumatra. These tend to grow very well in high humidity enclosures for species such as dart frogs. I wish this picture would do this build justice. It looks half as good in the picture. It wasn't entirely on purpose all of it but it turned into this root structure with lots of small leaf "creeping fig" that looks really natural. These pictures take so much away sometimes...especially the depth which to me makes some of these builds. If it's just flat soil evenly across the whole enclosure it doesn't look near as natural IMO.
