When you work closely with Patients, you often can get attached to the good ones. Today, I found out that one of the most Precious Souls I have ever known passed away recently. Her Daughter called me to make sure I knew and so that I could let the Doctor know. Most of the time, when I get these calls, I am sad but I can always find the words to say to comfort the family member. Today, I could barely squeak out a thank you. My Sweet Adele was the living breathing embodiment of Jesus. She loved on folks so well. We always got a hug and a kiss when she got here. And again before she left. And always several I love you’s. She took the time to show she cared about us as people. We were never strangers to her. Thinking of her and how she blessed my life, it has me thinking. What kind of legacy will I leave behind when God calls me home? The first thing that came to mind was Thanksgiving and our Black Friday shopping. For many years we have gone out shopping for those deals.
