August 2020🌞 erster Urlaub ohne Loui. Wir haben ihm so sehr vermisst💔, dass wir ein paar Tage früher nach Hause gefahren sind. Little Susie has also gained weight 👍 she’s put on 35 g in the last week! Now weighing 197 grams, a huge difference in that she also should be closer to 600 grams 😫 i’m happy she’s gaining! . Susie doesn’t seem to understand litter box training, either 🤷♀️ She also doesn’t understand the wet slurry food on a plate, so we have a long road ahead of us for bottlefeeding 🍼 . Beautiful mama Ambria 🧡🤍💛🖤 . She’s incredibly stunning 😻 Just a reminder that being a nursing mom is not fun 🥺 her body has gone through so much to take care of her babies. She’s eating so much, just to keep up her energy, and nourish her babies. . Any sound they make, she’s on constant alert 🚨 as the babies approach 3 weeks old, they are crawling and exploring. Mama Ambria is a bit nervous if they get wander too far. . Please spay and neuter your own cats (sterilize) and please try to help community cats in your area. Mama Ambria had an irresponsible owner who didn’t get her fixed, and dumped her outside. Thankfully the community took care of her as a community cat. . Once her kittens are weaned, she’ll be spayed and up for adoption in about two more weeks. Please look for a post when I start to accept adoption applications. . #ambria_kitties .
Jacques & Suzy 🖤🖤 You’re probably shocked by how small they are. I know I am 😔 . At 4 1/2 weeks, they should be as big as their brother GusGus.💯 Suzy weighs 170 g, Jacques weigh 260 g. Well beneath the 450 g they should be at 🥺 . They’re really not growing. They have good appetites and are nursing well every 4 hours. I add lots of vitamins, digestive enzymes, and other supplements to help. . At this point, I’ll talk to the rescue group about seeing the vet 👨⚕️It could be inability to absorb correctly, or possible hypothyroidism (which is rare) or even dwarfism. With Susie being so little, I’m concerned about any possible blood drawn. Baby GusGus is home! Thank you everyone for sending good thoughts and prayers that he recover quickly 🙏🏻🙏🏻 . Yesterday afternoon he was perfectly fine at his 4:30 PM feeding. When I checked for the 8:30 PM feeding, he was laid out on his stomach, his arms and legs extended outward 🥺 I tried to put him in a sitting position, but he couldn’t maintain that. He couldn’t walk either, he was barely crawling . I rushed him to the emergency vet, where they put him in an oxygen chamber, started an IV and gave him honey for glucose. After an hour, they said it could be a virus or an infection. His glucose was normal. . They gave him a shot of a strong antibiotic. This morning he was doing really well and I was finally able to pick him up this evening. They have no idea what happened. It could’ve been dehydration, will never know for sure 😔 . He’ll be separated from his 2 siblings for a few more days, just to be safe. we’ll start getting him eating on his own and using the litter box. . Little Suzy is surviving and thriving! Three weeks old, she’s finally weighing 166 g, but should be double that 🥺 her siblings, GusGus and Jacques, are over 300 grams. . She’s finally latching onto the bottle nipple 🥳 Once she puts on more weight, and has better motor movement, she’ll be reunited with her mama Ella and her brothers. They are in a different foster room. . Mama Ella is very aggressive with me, she wasn’t like that with a different foster parent🤷♀️ she’s in a large pop-up pen caring for the two boys right now. I check on them every 3 to 4 hours. Their weights are increasing daily. I only have to supplement once a day. I see them nursing and she’s taking good care of them. . Once Susie is reunited, I’ll monitor and determine when the best time is for mama to be separated. That’s usually when the kittens are close to 5 weeks and can start to be weaned. since mama Ella is so stressed, it may have to be sooner. . Meet Cadberry! He’s extremely affectionate and loving! All he wants to do is cuddle and snuggle. . He loves playing with toys, very smart to learn new things. He’d be great with other cats, possibly dogs after slow introductions. He was one of the five dumped the apartment hallway this weekend 😢 . I’m hoping that his neuter can be scheduled in the next two weeks or less. He seems to be between 9-12 months old. He’s a dark gray, with swirls at the side. Extremely handsome with gorgeous bronze eyes 🤎The adoption fee would be $150. . We have names! Meet Lilianna 💐 . This is the mama of the two 6 week old kittens. Her, the kittens, and her 2 siblings were placed in a box and left in an apartment hallway this weekend 🤬 . She’s settling in very nicely. She’s sweet, affectionate and very loving. The more she feels comfortable with me, the more she wants to lay in my lap and snuggle. . Her two kittens are eating on their own, and mama is gently pushing them away when they try to nurse. She’s over the whole “mama” thing and it’s time for her to be spayed and put up for adoption! . I’m hoping that can be scheduled in the next two weeks or less. I do think she’s between 9 to 12 months old. She’s a tabby mix, with beautiful yellowish eyes. The adoption fee would be $150. .
