Isnโt natural colour the most magical thing? It is such a big deal for us as designers and one of our most powerful tools. The way we see colour, the way we use colour. We can literally change the mood in a room or even itโs worth. Nothing like a warm gold metallic wallpaper to suggest opulence. Subtle pastels for calm. Strong reds for a bit of passion. Black for a moody den like enclosure. White for tranquility and peace. This is a real thing - colour is powerful yet is often taken for granted. Look at this sky, the most magnificent colours, created naturally simply by a mix of gases & molecules. Think about it though... Doesnโt food look far more appetising if it is a colourful mix on your plate? It is often far more nutritious too. Our health is detected by colour. Our eyes (both the whites & the iris) A plush pink shade of a tongue shows healthy blood flow. A dose of vitamin D changes the colour of our skin. Grass & trees can tell us what the temperature is outside by the colour of their leaves. Fascinating how colour has such a presence in all of our lives.
