🌟 Meet Our Speaker: Simon Brown from Boho Events and Styling! 🎤 Coming from a sales & marketing background, Simon started out hopping from job to job until he found his niche within the fitness industry. Starting out in an entry level membership sales role, Simon excelled and progressed to a national-level role in just 5 years, leading people and driving performance for 240 gyms across Australia & New Zealand. Even though Simon had landed what he thought was his "dream job", he struggled not being customer-facing and was constantly looking for ways to flex his people-centric muscles, which sparked his entrepreneurial journey. In 2020, in the midst of the COVID pandemic lockdowns, Simon started his first official side hustle freelancing in the digital marketing space which he worked on before and after his 9 to 5, as well as weekends. Loving the excitement and pace of the business world, Simon opted to leave the 10-year tenure and the security of his full-time role to invest his time into his own ventures. In late 2021, with his wife Tayla, Simon launched Boho Events & Styling and in 2022 Grow Your Gym. The fungus myrtle rust has in a few years all but wiped it out: now 'critically endangered'. The Research Centre for Ecosystem Resilience (ReCER) is working with the Australian Network for Plant Conservation, studying genetic diversity in surviving populations, propogating & distributing (now some 60) genotypes to 5 botanic gardens across Australia.
