A major announcement for... well, my life I guess: Two friends & I are starting COOL CORPSE, our very own indie game studio. And we just secured funding for our first game Space Sprouts, a scifi sandbox game about managing your space in space. STORY TIME 🚀 Contrary to my rare posts on here a lot has happened over the last year. I worked my butt off on several, awesome projects, grew a lot as an artist / designer and also learned a fair bit about my own limits. And during that time I started talking with some lovely dudes about frustration, about creating our own game and about abandoned ideas. And we settled on one such idea, a simple game about talking to plants, about communication and opening up. Now comes the hard part: To actually develop it. So we hammered out a roadmap to realise a proper game production: Get some funding, start our own studio and get this thing rolling. And thats basically what we did in the afterhours for the last few months. Writing concept papers, doing financial plans, getting stuff sorted out. And a week ago we finally got the call: We secured funding through the @medienboard / Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg. In a way this has been a long time coming. Starting a game studio was always a personal goal in the back of my head, a kind of logical next step for me. To not only create artworks, but to develop complete visions for games. And while we are not 100% there yet, seeing it all actually happening is exciting and weird and also a bit scary. I can't wait 🚀 Follow us @wearecoolcorpse or check my bio for links. He was tied to a tree until the police arrived. Hot-tempered, with a bottle in his hand, he had been insisting just before that the phone card he had purchased was defective. The events inside the supermarket were filmed by someone else in the store. The video went viral. Many blamed the victim, agreeing that the four men were only protecting the supermarket and its clients. In May 2017 the proceeding was closed. However, the victim was not able to testify in court; a week before the start of the trial his body had been found in the woods in central Saxony. Driven to ask questions ignored by the media and the court, Mario Pfeifer reexamines the incident through Again / Noch einmal (2018), gathering a jury of German citizens to review these events and decide on a verdict. Mediated by actors Mark Waschke and Dennenesch Zoudé, Again / Noch einmal raises questions of moral courage and vigilante justice, asking: How can we maintain a dialogue as society drifts apart?
