Manipura Chakra The Joy in Balancing Chakras I entered in the beginners category in a jewelry competition that was hosted by Lucy Walker Jewelry Academy, and won! Although I have been making jewelry for years, I am new to metal smithing. Metal Smithing has always been a dream ,and I am finally pursuing it. I did have the thought that I am too old, but kicked that silly judgement out of my belief system! The pendant is made from Sterling Silver and is the Manipura Chakra Symbol. The stone is a rose cut Citrine cabochon. Our Chakras are energetic wheels that travel up our spine. When out of balance they can cause illness, both mental and physical. Our energy and thoughts are stored there. It is not unusual to experience different emotions. It’s ok, let them come up. Decide if you want to keep them or not. We have the power to lift ourselves up, or beat our selves down. You choose. I experienced this yesterday. I would not let myself experience the joy, because I kept telling myself there must be a mistake. A strong feeling of unworthiness. I think that, when we live with our pain year after year, we make it part of our identity. I did this without even knowing it. It’s up to me to set myself free. By balancing my Manipura chakra, it will give me the ability to be confident, assertive, and make decisions from a place of inner wisdom. Here's a few jaw dropping facts; ⭐In Europe as a whole only 10% of furniture is recycled with 10 million tonnes of furniture going to landfill annually ⭐In the 1980's people expected a sofa to last about 15 years By 2000 that was down to 8 years So, in 20 years, the life expectation of a sofa has halved ⭐Ikea's Billy Bookcase was introduced in 1979 and they sell one every 5 seconds Which means they have sold 150 million + worldwide ⭐Most low cost furniture is made from composite materials that can't be recycled. It also poses a question that I find intriquing; Should manufacturers be made responsible for dealing with waste furniture or is it down to the consumer to ensure we buy second-hand, rent or upcycle anything we can.
