I’m loving my new cardigan💞 I knitted it in double mohair from @strikkefeber (blue) and @houseofyarn_norway (white) ☁️ it’s knitted on 15 mm needles. I made a swatch and figured out how many stitches to cast on based on that. Once upon a time, I customized dolls. 🌸 I loved every moment of it and put my heart and soul into every single decision made. Roslin Pinkinshire here was my first full custom and she was the poster doll for my creative project at the time — Pinkinshire. Roslin was originally a Nostalgic Pop (with the once greatly desired translucent face mold) with an incredibly rare translucent Licca body to match the face. Side note: I was able to get in contact with a knowledgeable Licca collector back then who sold me Licca bodies (my preferred Blythe body) for all my customs. I still have Licca bodies in stock to this day, with one or two rare pieces in the mix! Roslin’s reroot was also my first-ever — it took me about two or three days to complete. To get the mohair, I worked with a lovely farmer who raised angora goats to make and dye doll hair to my specifications. It was such a wonderful experience! I put my full self into the entire reroot — blood, sweat, and tears. The blushing process, using chalk pastels, felt like a dream. Blythe customization was coming out of its infancy — carving was experimental at the time, and a lot of the doll’s expression relied heavily on the faceup. My dream for Roslin Pinkinshire was to have a 100% pink doll, which ultimately morphed into what she later became because of her translucency: The Pink Ghost. 🌸🤍 (She even has light pink eyelashes! They’re so delicate and sweet… 🥹) More came out of Roslin Pinkinshire and her legacy… including a lot of emails asking for commissions, but I had a plan for Pinkinshire that I wanted to stick with. Eventually, my life took a different course.
