Just keeping this amazing project on everyone’s radar! The Fire Mountain Ignitor Park!! The first park of its kind in the Southeast is coming to Cherokee! This one-of-a-kind bike park will feature 2 Velosolutions asphalt pump tracks with an asphalt “snake run” connector, a bicycle playground for the little folks, an intermediate skills area, and 2 gravity runs. The Ignitor Park is 3 years in the making and will be an ARP funded project, approved by Tribal Leadership and projected to bring $3-5 million in local revenue each year. It will be located at 2093 Tsali Boulevard near the entrance of the GSMNP. This is a quality of life investment for our tribal families, as well as an economic driver. We hope to break ground on the Ignitor park early this year, and be open sometime around Labor Day 2024!! Woo! Inferno News!! New for 2023!! PMA!!!!! We are thrilled to announce we’ve booked Sylva’s very own PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) to play some hot original Reggae for us at this year’s Inferno! PMA is a kickass 5 piece Reggae fusion band that produce some sweetest grooves around! They toured extensively over the past several years and have shared the stage with the likes of Giant Panda, Black Uhuru, Roots of Rebellion and Bumpin Uglies. As many of you now may know, Motion Makers is pulling up stakes in Cherokee. It certainly isn’t the most desired news or action from the new owners, but we are confident that Motion Makers Sylva will still be able to provide great service, support and even more sponsorship to the Cherokee area, our riders and Tribal Citizens. Nonetheless, it’s still a difficult goodbye! Especially @nick_fortner_ the great bike shop mechanic we’ve all gotten to know so well. However he will be moving to the Sylva store and taking care of our RTR needs. Truthfully, we are sad, but there are no hard feelings.
