Our back door 💚✨ So delighted with how this turned out!! I came up with the design and very grateful that Munster Joinery created it for me and brought it to life exactly as I imagined it 🥰 (they usually don’t have the bars in the window so the last slide shows how I sent the idea through to them 🤭). I wanted something more traditional - originally thinking of doing a half door, but they were tricky to find and even harder to get in a triple glaze. MJ do offer a door with a tilt and turn window which kind of has the same effect, but when they agreed on doing this design, we decided to run with it in the end and I’m so happy that we did 😊 The shade is called cement grey but it’s definitely more of a khaki green colour. We hope to run this colour through the utility and into the kitchen/pantry too 🥰💭 Hope everyone had a lovely week and HAPPY FRIDAY!! 💚✨
Look what arrived today 🙌🏼 We went for the Munster Joinery Prestige hardwood in Cement Grey with chrome handle, doorknob and knocker. Hardwood was a must as I want to be able to change the colour of the door. ✨ Our Front Door ✨ I can't believe we have the keys to our own home (or the little house on the prairie as we've been referring to it lately 😅) With all the busy days and constant decisions we sometimes forget to stop and look at how far we've come but this was definitely a day that stopped us in our tracks. It also caught us completely off guard as the delivery wasn't supposed to be until Friday, the absolute best surprise✨ Thank you to our rep from Munster Joinery for allowing us to create our own design for both the front and back door too. It took endless discussions and decisions to get here.. From the fanlight, getting our elliptical arch right, the bars, how many, the colours, the list goes on.. But it was all so worth it seeing it come together now. The best feeling and just very surreal that this is ours 🤍💫

Week 28: It’s been a few weeks since last update but with the Christmas break in between, there has been limited work on the house but expecting things to pick up quickly in the next few weeks when @pb_icf_building_and_carpentry return to site. In the meantime our plumber @shambotreacy has done first fixing. We had a site visit with our engineers when Valerie from @james_lohanengineers reviewed the work to date. #munsterjoinery installed our corner window. Large window over front door to be installed this week We have started installing insulation in the vaulted area of kitchen also. @elledesigns_louise provided a very detailed electrical plan for the entire house. Really helpful for us and our electrician to have a plan to follow. We visited @moyfurniturecentre over Christmas too and selected most of our furniture for the KLD area. Their salesman, Stephen, was brilliant with his time, advice and patience. On Saturday just gone, we met with Conor in @slatterytiles in Nenagh.
