📍Quarter House, NQ (@quarterhousemcr) Who would have thought you’d find a fully loaded menu of burgers, fries, chicken wings and tenders, BBQ trays and even tacos all in one place in the centre of Northern Quarter? Neither did I, until now! 👀 Just wished I had more stomach space to try more! 🥹 What we ordered: - Nashville Hot Chicken Burger (pretty spicy but such a good chicken burger) - Bacon and Cheese Burger (THE ultimate burger and my fave out of the mix we got) (Both burgers included fries) - Halloumi dippers (can’t go wrong) - Brisket Birria Soft Tacos (tiny tacos but packed to the tortilla brim) The burgers are a must order and I have my eyes set on trying those loaded fries next time I go! Whereas the usual okonomiyaki (osaka style) got all the ingredients cooked together, the hiroshima style got the ingredients layered (slide 5) with noodles added as part of the layer as well. There were 2 noodle options to choose from; yakisoba or udon. 1. Oyster with udon okonomiyaki 2. Seafood with yakisoba okonomiyaki 3. Yaki-udon Overall interesting twist to the usual okonomiyaki we’re familiar with.

First time here @ Durian BB World, a 2-storey shop at Jalan Sultan KL. Besides selling durian ice cream, durian desserts, drinks, and even the fruit itself, they also sell many snacks, and merchandize like keychains, cute soft toys, T shirts, and real baby durians encased in glass as souvenirs or gifts. ⠀ ⠀ What's more, they also have games for you to play and lots of photo taking opportunities with giant cute toys on the upper floor. Great place to have some fun with family members or friends. ⠀ ⠀ I tried their best selling Musang King Soft Pop which is delicious durian soft serve ice cream with crunchy durian pop corns! The pop corns are really freeze dried durians and they complement the soft serve ice cream very well! As a bonus, I was given 2 free coins to play the claw machine. KILLER BANH MI 🇻🇳⬇️ REVIEW Y’all when I say I’ve been eyeing this place for the past few months I am not lying. I finally went today and let me tell YOU that you must come here. The interior of this place is a 10/10 and the people there are so nice 😊 I love how there’s so many options of banh mi to choose from and that they’re all unique flavors that I wouldn’t find at a regular banh mi chain. They also sell wings, starters, and rice/vermicelli. Are you a vegetarian by any chance ? Have no fear they have a section for y’all. I got their lemon grass banh mi, honey sriracha wings, and a Vietnamese iced coffee. All come around to 25$ so we’re staying true to our $-$$ here on weeneat 😏 The banh mi was LOADED and for 10 dollars that’s so worth it. So loaded that my bread started to break half way through eating. Their vegetables are also placed under the meat which is different from lees or best baguette. It’s a little bit too oily for me but honey that’s where flavor is. 😘 Getting a drink along side with any of their items is a must because you’re obviously going to need something to wash down your palette for the next bite lol. I got their Vietnamese iced coffee and it was average. 👊 Lastly I got their honey sriracha wings and LORDDDDD the smell of garlic punched me quite literally. You get 6 wings for 8 dollars and you get to choose a flavor out of the 8 that they have. Honestly the wings were 🔥 and I would choose this over wing stop ✋ you can’t beat home flavors man. Killer banh mi gets a solid 4/5⭐️ from me because you can’t beat the variety, setting, and vibe of this place. It’s not a 5 because I feel like the drink portion (that I got) was a bit small considering I’m paying the same price as a boba drink. Another factor was that my bread started breaking half way when I was eating. I love how it was loaded but it gets hard to eat when bread starts breaking. Champion of Kobe Beef A5 rib eye steak; basically cream of the crop with a beef marbling score of 12 aka the highest of all. Ordered this coz we’re curious if it’s any different than the rib eye steak (and ohmy ternyata emg beda but so is the price😅) Apparently when you order this champ you’ll be given the certificate of that very cow and also its ancestry certificate (slide 6-7)😆 We can actually tell the gradual difference in that order from 1 to 3, with no.3 feeling like you’re not eating beef at all; melts in your mouth, so very rich. But all of them are great and imo the prices are reflective of the different cut. Amazing beef and a memorable dining experience.

Eating ice cream in the cold weather can be quite pleasant and enjoyable! Had lavender and matcha ice cream from Frostea @ Cameron Centrum, Cameron Highlands. Didn't take many photos here. The ice cream kiosk has very limited seats so we sat at Starbucks next door. Purposely bought a cup of Starbucks coffee so we could sit there. Lol. #latergram
Tonkatsu Ganko Nara 📍Nara, Japan Very good tonkatsu place in Nara. Their specialty is their kurobuta pork loin cut; really good and juicy. The other stuff was just as good, their shrimp and oysters tonkatsu! I’d recommend this place if you’re around Nara Park, but bcoz it seems popular there is usually a line during peak hours. Came in on a weekday at around 11.30AM and had to wait for 5-10mins, but when we came out at 12:30PM the line was already like in slide 3😆

Lilo Coffee Roasters 📍Osaka, Japan Passed by this small coffeeshop behind our hotel and it was full of people. Was curious so i went in to buy coffee and managed to get a seat just in time. Googled this place and turned out to be a legit cafe (4.7 with 1.5k+ reviews). You’re given the option to choose what beans you want for your coffee. I chose Ethiopia for my latte, and they give you an info card on the beans profile you chose (slide 2). As expected, very good coffee😌 but the place is pretty small (and because there were a lot of people it got kinda hot after a while). Not really a place to hang for a long time. One could tell whoever runs this coffeeshop seems to be passionate and knowledgeable about coffee.

Beautiful cafe Sandolicious with delicious specialty drinks, coffee, and sandos. I tried 'La Vie En Rose', which scores high marks in presentation - a drink wrapped in a beautiful paper with roses! It's actually a combination of pear, white fungus and goji berries. So refreshing and even quite healthy! ⠀ ⠀ There were many varieties of sandos to choose from. I opted for Rose Lychee. My third time here @ TBX (The Baking Xperiment) cafe in SS17 Subang. I was not too impressed during my first two visits. But this time, I was pleasantly surprised. Love the ham and cheese croissant, the matcha oreo cookie and the flat white. Will return whenever I pass by this area 😊 @thebakingxperiment

Back @ Miss Coco Cafe to try their dark chocolate drink. So smooth and good! Love the Saucy Egg which is croissant with eggs and tomato sauce - very delicious and satisfying. ⠀ ⠀ Could not leave without having the chocolate bonbons. Enjoyed them with a cup of long black - perfect!! ⠀ ⠀ By the way, if you don't already know, they roast their own coffee beans with Malaysia's one and only Loring S35 coffee roasting machine, which uses air to roast the beans making the coffee profile more balanced and sweet. ⠀ ⠀ So yes, prices were a little on the high side, but both food and drinks were of excellent quality.
