If I could give one piece of advice to parents getting family photos taken, this is what it would be (and it’s an easy one)…. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just. Keep. Smiling! 🙂 Why? Because I can’t tell you the number of times I have a cute shot of a child, but mom or dad has a concerned or frowning expression because maybe the child wasn’t perfectly following directions or sitting still and smiling (I mean…what kid does that anyway 🙃). But sometimes it’s in those in-between or seemingly imperfect moments where I’m miraculously capturing something great (you just may not know it til you see the pics!). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So - kids acting up? Keep smiling. They’re wriggling around and not staying still? Keep smiling! All I need is a split second where your child is making a cute expression or doing something adorable and bam - we’ve captured a great moment - IF mom and dad are smiling adoringly at their child! (even if you’re not, that’s where photoshop and head swaps can come in but still - easier if you are 😉). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So trust your photographer and know that even if things seem to be going the OPPOSITE of perfect, we’re capturing something special for you - and it really helps if you keep a happy look on your face (bonus - your good vibes tend to rub off on the kids too!)
