Ingredients such as glucosamine, green lipped mussel and chondroitin support the cartilage health, and help the body to repair and maintain healthy joints. If your dog is middle aged and showing the signs of joint stiffness, or is perhaps a younger dog but very active, these ingredients will support him as he gets older. MSM and Boswellia help the body maintain its natural anti-inflammatory mechanisms, plus MSM supports soft tissue repair. These ingredients will help an elderly dog feel more comfortable, but a very old dog may benefit less from the ingredients which support repair. 🐶Turmeric Based – Turmeric has become hugely popular as a natural anti-inflammatory and as an ingredient which supports joint comfort. Ieesha the senior French Bulldog recently had to have surgery on her knee. So, our job was to help put a rehab program together to help her build strength in her legs again. One of the simple exercises Ieesha has been doing is slowly walking over her dog beds (with a few sits). This helps to strengthen her legs and improve her balance whilst strengthening key stabilising muscles in her body ... ... so she can recover faster from her surgery and minimise the risk of any re-injuries and crucially get back to having fun and enjoying life again. The clinic where she had her surgeries, there is a tumor specialist and other specialists as well as regenerative medicine and we trust them. From our experiences of talking to many vets, the greatest vet is actually the pet parents ourselves🐶 Of course, we listen and value the opinions of vets we trust, but we, parents, are the ones to make the final decisions for our fluffy daughters and sons. So pls do not hesitate to ask questions or to get second or third opinions. Their lives are a lot shorter than ours, unfortunately. We have no time to waste. By raising our voices including the questions, doubts and when asking for the second opinions for your dogs become new normal, that leads to better animal medical development✨ PS. (Scroll down for English captions.) 新しい病院に行く前に カウンセリングの資料と一緒に 過去の血液検査、尿検査、 レントゲン＆エコーのCDを 準備するよう指示があり📝 血液検査と尿検査は 毎回紙でデータを頂けるので 保管してますが、 レントゲン＆エコーは 先生が診察して見せてくれただけ 『レントゲンとエコーも CDにして頂けますか？』とお願いしたら 無料でいただけましたが 例えば 夜間病院などに行く場合や セカンドオピニオンも考えると マックス年2回ぐらいなので 毎回もらっておいた方が 良いなと思いました😊 あと 尿検査を定期的にする場合は 同じ条件で採取する方がより正確☝️ カウンセリングに行った病院からは 前日の夜21時〜翌朝までお水をストップして 【朝一】の尿を摂る （ご飯も21時前に済ませてね） 過去のデータを比較する時に 同じ条件のが より正しい結論が 引き出せますからね♪ This new vet we visited advised us when your dog tests for urine, you need to stop give them food/ water by 9pm on previous night and take the first urine sample in the morning ☀️ This way, the vets can compare the data more accurately. When she became older, she had a sudden skin problem all over her body and it was very painful🥲 We were able to cure it, but I get a little scared when it comes to her skin problems. In Japan, winter is coming soon. When changing the season, it’s especially tough on the older dogs and dogs with weaker bodies. (Scroll down for English caption.) 愛犬リオ15歳の 定期尿検査に行ってきました。 腎臓の数値が少し基準値外なのと、 少し前に膀胱炎にもなったので 定期的に検査してもらってます。 ちょっと尿が薄いけど 許容範囲内って結果で ひと安心❤️ シニア犬になると こういう検査で少しドキドキしちゃう💦 ついでに 足裏とかのバリカンと 爪切り等のケアもしてもらって 完璧なリオっちです。 お陰で今は白眼で爆睡😁 I took Rio (15 yrs dachshund girl) to the vet today. Regular urine check up. Her kidney level is a little out of tolerance and recently she had a bladder infection so we are monitoring her urine level every 2 months. The test results were ok. And I am so relieved❤️ Ever since she got sick, I get a bit nervous every time when she takes a test💦 She also had her nails cut and her paws’ hair cut and she is all good. Uncle Oscar, such a gorgeous boy. Oscar is too old to play with Winnie for any long period of time. Being a pup Winnie still gets very excited when she sees him and so we spend a lot of time doing snuffles in the garden before he comes to join us and when in the house they are kept separate by a safety gate. Settling Winnie with a chew before he arrives works best. Being so old he is very tolerant but it really isn’t fair to ask him to put up with too much excitement from Winnie, he shouldn’t have to tolerate her giddiness as he is a sleepy chap that needs his rest and he can have aches/pains. Winnie also wouldn’t learn any doggy manners if we allowed her to jump all over Oscar. Here is a clip from a lovely short session I had with both in mums garden enjoying sweet potato and fish skin (yum?) 💗🐶 What Winnie will spend 15 minutes chewing on...Oscar eats in moments! I love her facial expressions. I cant get enough of her on me in this carrier. I will have to take a video showing how easy it is and comfortable for her and me. Its been so hot out. Hopefully next week we can go to the park for longer walks. I sometimes like to put her front legs bent over the top instead of through the holes.
