This is at the Olympic Viewing Platform, where you can see the cauldron, the ski jumps and Whiteface Mountain (where the 1980 Alpine ski events were held). Это в двадцатых, в пору юности страны Советов строгие формы конструктивизма были лучшим воплощением романтического настроения «мир хижинам, война дворцам». Но в тридцатых юность кончилась😂. «А справа и слева построить дворцы-санатории!»- распорядился Сталин. Дворцов просил Сталин, дворцы стали расти как грибы после дождя! Так по соседству появились сананаторий им. Орджоникидзе и санаторий Металлург. Ну уж если корпуса санатория не особо вдохновляют, то субтропический лечебный санаторный парк, раскинувшийся на 88-и Га, даже очень. Над ним работал таманский агроном Юрий Шенкевич. Задумано было, чтобы отдыхающие летом находили в нем прохладу и тень, а зимой получали как можно больше света и солнца. 77 тысяч деревьев и кустарников. Из них 35 тыс. вечнозелёных лиственных. 11 тыс. пальм и бамбуков. 20 тыс. роз. И тд. Открылся санаторий в 1934 г. А в 1937 г. за создание архитектурного комплекса им. Ворошилова М. И. COS: I've always wanted to go to Colorado and finally did. Pictures/videos don't do justice. There's much more to it. Clean quality air & quality of living, one of the fittest/ healthiest places in the country. No one is inside; they're all active & outdoors which is a must cause the altitude will whoop yo ass! I wanted revenge after I played basketball for cardio, then lifted superset style and about got dizzy lol. That was motivation. Shows how conditioned the Olympic Athletes at the headquarters. The hikes at Rocky Mountain National Park are awe-inspiring & majestic. You would think you've seen it all based on what's around you until you drive around those mountains to discover even more beautiful mountains with 4 different variations of diverse terrain on each side of the road. There wasn't enough snow to snowboard, so next time. The weather was just right with a nice taste of snow Tuesday to top the mountain caps off with snow to add to what's already there. It's heaven if you have bad sinuses year around like myself in this humidity; very refreshing indeed. For food, we found great pizza in Colorado Springs Pizza Rustica and Phenomenal breakfast at Snooze AM which is above. We have to go back for a show sometime at Red Rock Amphitheater near Denver. Оказывается греческие авторы еще тогда вдохновлялись нашим городом - Ампсалида, именно так в античности именовались эти берега. Мне конечно очень нравятся мифологические привязки к тому или иному месту, НО☝️ Сову - то зачем на глобус натягивать?! Может хватит пичкать туристов всякими легендами и небылицами?! Или у Сочи такая скудная история, что ее пытаются увязать с самыми яркими образами античной мифологии, например, с Гераклом и аргонавтами, Прометеем и циклопом Полифемом? Штампуют эти скульптуры, пытаются хоть что-то то из пальца высосать! Находят какие то нелепые привязки, сомнительные совершенно! Я стесняюсь спросить, а что на приток туристов это как-то влияет? Или это балабольство повышает интерес к местности? Не верю! У Сочи настолько много интереснейших фактов и историй, которыми можно гордиться и рассказывать о них вечно!
