I found the Colourpop Play it Jewel Mega Palette at Tj Maxx & Marshallβs yesterday! It was $19.99. I did not buy it from either store because none of them were in perfect condition. This one I took a pic of was in the best condition but the purple shade majesty was crumbling a bit. One had broken shades, others were swatched, one had a nail mark in the shadowβ¦. I like this palette but I do think the price is too high still. I also wish they kept the palettes locked up so people couldnβt mess with them: so many are going to have to be damaged out. πPan That Palette In Order - Update 1π β’ β’ This concept was created by Taylor Buell on YT but I was inspired by @caitlin.c_official series on it & then seeing @heathersmakeupvanity start it recently was my final push! As the name suggests the gist is to hit pan in every shade in the order they're in the palette. Simple as that. I picked Beauty Bay Technidaze because BB is semi easier to pan, it's a smaller palette with only 8 pans but it's still full of very fun bold shades that excite me. I'm gonna take this slow with no pressure or rush at all. I'm okay with this taking me until the end of the year to finish! I'll post updates as I reach each new pan! β’ Started with the shade Kaleidoscope, a warm purple pink duochrome & we have hit pan with just 5 uses in the 1st month! π I had 3 previous uses on it before the project, so it only took 8 uses total to reach pan! Now I get to move onto Dazed, the bright hot pink matte! On intro it had only 1 previous use but over the last month it got another 2 so we are starting at 3 uses for this shade! I think it will only take another 10 or so uses for pan! Buuut this is gonna take me a long while because I'm currently focusing on a different bright pink matte in my #prideprojectpan! So funny story, I never intended to own these but now I have both. I got Christmas Town from Melt as a replacement for issues I was having with my Gemini 2 palette. I was very impressed with their customer service. Very professional & helpful. Then Sephora was having their sale where different remember tiers get various discounts. Iβm not a big Sephora shopper so my discount was only 10%. I didnβt plan on making a purchase. Then I got an email about Melt being 50% at Sephora. Thatβs a great deal! But I wasnβt planning on spending any money. But I was messaging a friend and suddenly I was reminded I had a Sephora gift card from last Christmas! So with the discount and gift card I got the Halloween Palette for under $5. Originally these were $60 each, $120 total. And I ended up with both for $5. Iβm a happy camper atm. πAll the eyeshadow pans I hit in the 1st quarter of the year π 20 pans & counting! Woo hoo! π β’ I'm so so impressed with myself for being able to hit this many pans so quickly this year! Just with this I've over doubled my pan percentage! Realistic sidenote here - all, except like 4 of these, were pretty well loved & used before hand & didn't even take more than 10 uses to pan! Some literally only took 2 or 3 more times to hit pan! I've tagged the brands but you can find the same of the specific shades, etc in my story highlight! β’ My goal is hoping I can hit 50 eyeshadow pans by 2025! I would like if at least 15 could be mattes because as you can see I'm at a 4 to 26 ratio atm because metallics are so much easier! πΈ HIT PAN πΈ Haha long time no update on my makeup revolution red velvet palette! I have pretty much exclusively been using this palette since late January and so I feel like I'm making good progress in the shades. I have even hit pan in the shade chocolate since the last time I updated. I think my next pan will be in the shade cream cheese or maybe brown sugar. πProject Level Up - Level 1 - Round 2- Intro - @sugarpill Fun Size palette π πcreated by @sofiealexandraheartsπ β’ β’ Time to reset back to Level 1 & the palette I got is the complete opposite of my Level 3! Instead of all metallic we are now doing all matte. For that reason this ones usage will be SO SO easy because I can get them all used in only like 2 looks if I wanted buuut on the flip side I think getting my 1 pan will be so hard this time! I've never tried to pan Sugarpill but I know it's gonna be difficult. πProject Level Up - Level 3 - 6.5 week update AKA the finale ππ Swipe for progress comparisons & to see the amount of times each shade got used! πcreated by @sofiealexandraheartsπ β’ β’ Started & finished Level 1 in only 11 days, started Level 2 on 11th Jan & finished it 23rd Feb! I decided for Level 3 that I'd do a curated list of 20ish pre-selected palettes that I really want to pan to randomised from so I actually enjoy working long term on a palette - It gave me the @itsbelcosmeticspr Break The Rules palette! β’ Now here we are 6.5 weeks later & I have officially completed Level 3! ππ My initial reaction was that the pans were gonna be the easy part & the 3 uses would be harder & that was very true! I found working with an all duochrome & multichrome palette made it harder to get use because you could max use 2 shades at a time if you really wanted them to actually shine & do their thing! So that slowed me down. Luckily Rebel, Eager For More & Make Me were good for layering with other shadows! I already had 1 pan to start with & half the remaining shades were close to pan anyway! I hit all 3 of the new pans in just 3 uses or less which was exciting! β’ I have decided I'm only going to Level 3 because I have such a LARGE collection that I want to use more palettes/rotate through faster & so I can still focus in on my other shadows in project pans! Purple pan πβ¨ I hit pan in the my @catrice.cosmetics Space Glam Chrome Eyeshadow in the shade Supernova! At first I didnβt even notice it, because the pan is black. I donβt think I have ever hit pan on a single shadow before tbh and Iβve only had this eyeshadow for 2 months. But putting it in my project pan really helped me to reach for it regularly. The pitiful amount of super shock shadows I used this month π β’ β’ I used to track the amount of super shock shadows I used each month & show them off & would actively pan so many & use them so often but then my buying went out of control in 2022 & I fell off using them enough for the last 2 years. So I'm trying to bully myself into it again by being embarrassed each month if I don't show more than like 5 because I just do love them so much & WANT to be using them. I also set a goal at the start of the year to have a t least _% of my sss collection with pan by 2025! β’ ~SHADES USED~ π Pick Me + Schmoney split pan π Fruit Punch 𧑠Shy Guy β’ I'm going to have new pan in both sides of the split pan by next months update! I can guarntee that! β’ Sidenote - my rules for counting pan in a super shock is the whole surface has to be pretty roughed up & well used for me to call it pan. If I can just squish it back & hide it easily it doesn't count & I won't just tunnel dig. Luckily I used my fingers & swirl over the whole pan for each use so that makes sure I don't just dig. Hereβs my update to my pan that palette! I started this project in January and used it every weekday. On weekends I have myself the weekends to choose any palette to wear. I like this Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette. Itβs one of Morphes better quality palettes. But I have to say Iβm tired of using this palette so often. I feel like I made great progress. I started with 0 pans in January and now I have 17 pans! I did not finish any shadows completely. But I think Iβm going to stop focusing on this palette for now. I want to use some other palettes.
