The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream($11) 👎🏾 - the results from the eye cream with consistent use were minimal. It was not worth the extra step in my routine, not even basic hydration this provided. This was a huge disappointment considering I’ve loved the other products I tried from the Inkey List.

A #project10uses update - I finally hit my goal on the Oden's Eye Lip Stain 😭 my roll-in, the Oden's Eye Solmane Eyeliner in 006 Green Tea, is on the next slide 🖤 I literally NEVER used this lip stain before rolling it into the project, since such a dark red in a glossy formula kinda intimidated me. Now that I've gotten 10 days of use out of it, I feel like I can form an opinion on it, and the deal is that this lip formula is not that scary. Despite being a gloss in a bold color, it has pretty good wear time, and I only needed to reapply it once or twice a day. It was sticky enough to not just come off of the lips and bleed onto the face, but not so sticky it was aggravating to wear. Weirdly enough, though, the Alva Cream Lipsticks stain the lips much more than these lip stains. When this came off, it came off evenly without leaving any pigment behind. I'd say this was more of a gloss than a stain of any kind. I'm not sure the product weight of these, but if only .3 g are used in 10 days of normal wear, that doesn't bode well for panning it 😅 My roll-in is an eyeliner that I've already used over 20 times. This is one of the creamier ones in this line, and I haven't experienced breakage with it. The third instalment in @kassiemakesitup ‘s Element makeup series and my take on it. This is Earth. For me, earth is rich and dark, golden and with green things growing out of it! Therefore, I went with these colours, dark brown, shimmery brown-green and shimmery grassy green, as well as gold details. You can’t see it properly in the picture, but I used the gold from my @beautyact Summer palette as a liner on my bottom wet line, and it looked great! I’m going to use it that way again. I smudged the browns and greens a bit below my eyes, on my cheeks and my nose to make it look like I had been digging in the soil and wiped it on my face. The brown and greens came from my @anastasiabeverlyhills Nouveau palette, see swatches in the 2nd pic. I ordered some @inglot_cosmetics Duraline to use with this black shadow to make it easier and more long lasting when using it as a liner. I haven’t tried it with a wing yet, because there is a bit of a learning curve and it is a bit more time consuming to scrap off some shadow and mix with the Duraline each time. I’m trying to catch up on some #palettebreakdown posts, so you get another one this week! This is the Jungle Princess (they couldn’t come up with a better name??) palette from @makeuprevolution and their Lion King collab. I thought the color story was super fun, but the purples in here were not great. The matte is powdery and not very pigmented, whereas the shimmer doesn’t pack as much of a punch as the others. Zelda project pan update! I'm so behind on my updates I have 4 swaps 😅 and they're all a month old. But if you saw my life update a couple posts ago, I have been sick and not wearing makeup all month or posting anything so I'm just getting back into it now. I'm still working on a mascara and setting spray from before. All the eyeshadows were great, I'm trying to have some bright eyeshadows rolling through this project since my main project this year is battleship pans with a neutral palette. Here's the description of all of the prompts corresponding with my next picks (one of which I already finished and rolled out!): Hylian Shield - Pick an item that is dependable: Loading... coral eyeshadow is what I picked! It's basically my favorite eyeshadow shade, and I'm happy to use it in basically any look. Ancient bow - Pick one of your oldest items : This liquid balm is really old and it's basically a 'tinted lip oil' but I got it in 2018. I feel like it should probably be expired but I haven't had any issues with it yet. Here's hoping I don't start having issues during this project. Master sword - Pick your favorite item: I picked this lipstick that I'm pretty sure I've raved about enough, I've actually finished a whole one of these and repurchased it! It's a lovely brown-y peach shade, and on the desaturated side. Warm desaturated oranges and orange reds are probably the best lipstick shades for me in general. I already hit my goal on this one! Lizal boomerang - Pick an item you've repurchased at least once: I picked this peach corrector that I finished and repurchased once, though I've since realized yellow green is better for color correcting my undereye, and I just mix this shade with my own green concoction to bring it closer to a skintone shade. It's a great formula but unfortunately finding a light desaturated yellow green-leaning undereye concealer/corrector doesn't exist on the market in any formula so it's just me mixing up my own thing for now, ever since I figured it out. This one will be easy to hit goal on once I start wearing makeup again because I do undereye color correcting with basically every 'full eyeshadow' look.

This was not an impulse buy, but I didn’t plan to buy everything at once 😅 I just did 100 days successful no buy and had some time to reflect on my makeup collection and how I want it to be. My conclusion is that I don’t necessarily want it to be minimal, but manageable, curated and fun. I want to have products I’m excited to use and that makes me feel pretty for myself, even if I’m only doing a no makeup look and hiding my face behind a welding mask most of the day. It’s also very important to me that my makeup collection doesn’t make me feel overwhelmed though! I made a wishlist of products I wanted to buy some time this year, and here are the products I was sure I wanted to add to my collection. Still have a couple items on that list, but I want to wait and 100% sure that I will use them. During my no buy I got a generous gift card from my husband at a beauty website and they had a really good sale recently, so I didn’t pay much for this. The Fenty palette was bought in a different store and it was in an outlet bin. Still not sure how I’m going to count this towards my beauty budget. I don’t want to take away everything from the budget since I got most with a gift card, but I also don’t want to take away only what I paid myself either. Make up of the day! So i decided to use some of my newest and oldest make up today. Oldest is the dusty crusty kiko milano bronzer iv dropped and repressed atleast 4 times. This i bought in 2012 i think, one of my first higher end purchases at the time i believe it was aound £32. Second oldest make up item is the ysl lipstick i use as cream blush this is from 2015. I do not use this on my mouth. Newer products are the p.louise items. The lipstick is in the most disgusting colour and i use it as a colour corrector. The lady in charge palette is also p.louise. Pan that palette first update! I wasn't sure if I would do a ptp this year because battleship pans seems like it's kind of enough, but since the palette I picked for that is neutrals, it made since to add some brights back in to my panning assortment. Since the intro, I hit pan on the peachy orange shade! It's probably my favorite shade in this palette so not too surprising. I have been working on the cyan pretty regularly and the rest of the shades less than that. I have been taking a makeup break while sick this past month so I'm not really sure what I want my goal to be next. They all kind of pair nicely with my warm neutrals. There used to be a grey in this palette but I gave it to my sister when we did a makeup exchange. Looks with the Unearthly Dead of Night Palette ⚰️ As for first impressions, I'm not sure how I feel about this palette and I definitely need to keep playing with it. The first time I used it the pigment was blending away easily and it was very patchy. The Second and Third time was a bit better but I think I was trying to change the way I apply the eyeshadow. As I mention multiple times, I don't like products where this is a learning curve or if I have to use a different technique from my everyday makeup because I have a pea brain and just can't remember certain techniques for certain items. Bath & Body Works Golden Ocean Pearl Fine Fragrance Mist($16.50) 👎🏾 - Creamy vanilla orchid and Amber. Smells like a perfume, not your typical fragrance from the brand. Like all fragrance mists, no longevity, disappears after an hour. I can’t stress this enough, don’t buy fragrance mist from BBW unless you’re looking to use them as a hair mist or room spray. The body lotions have better longevity and they don’t expire as fast as the body creams.
