It’s such an honor to love what you do every day 💕 I never thought I’d be working in Primary Care but I can honestly say God planted me in this speciality at this specific job with intention. I serve patients with severe mental illnesses living in long-term living facilities. Many times they’ve faced homelessness, and have minimal ties with their families. They’re familiar with feeling unseen and unheard. I’m blessed with the opportunity to show up as a provider that truly cares, respects and sees them. God affords me the ability to make a difference with every patient encounter. I remember working in personal injury feeling so unfulfilled. The work I do here MATTERS. C'est fait ✅️ Après 57 jours de préparation, j'ai fait mon premier semi-marathon, et c'est pas fini croyez moi ! Y a 2/3 mois j'avais horreur de courir, je trouvais tellement chiant. La seule fois où j'ai couru + de 10km j'ai fini avec une inflammation au TFL. Aujourd'hui, j'ai envie de pousser mon corps encore plus loin. Merci à @valou_coach pour le programme express 😂 il a été incroyable. Le jour-J, j'étais excité, le départ est lancé et là c'est parti !!!! Je prend un départ beaucoup trop rapide par rapport à mon allure de base, je suis en 4:20-4:30 au lieu de 4:40, ma fréquence cardiaque est à 178 autant dire que j'étais en zone rouge 😂. On se tape des montées tout ce que j'aime 😭. 14km : mes jambes commencent à me faire comprendre que j'ai pas assuré et décides de me lâcher. Durant le dernier tour, je cours en 4:50 - 5:15, je me fais doublé, impossible de relancé, moralement c'est la merde. J'avais peur juste de ça, commencé trop vite & me faire doublé car je savais que ça allait jouer sur le moral. Finalement les 50 derniers mètres j'ai ressenti une joie énorme, malgré un temps dépassé de 2min 😂 j'avais atteint mon objectif poussé mon corps à sa 1ere limite. 24h après je peux dire que j'ai adoré c'est 21km, que cette distance n'est pas une limite et que je veux l'amener encore plus loin mais vraiment plus loin. Congratulations to Mia who was accepted into the Midwestern University (Glendale) PA Program! Mia contacted us last year and we were able help her put an application together in time for her to receive an interview. Unfortunately, Mia wasn't accepted during her first cycle. However, Mia was determined to get into a PA School and immediately began on working on her application for this current cycle. Mia took some additional coursework and changed her PCE and we were able to get her application off very early this cycle. And already this cycle Mia has had three times the number of interviews she had for the entire previous cycle and already has her first acceptance! Mia has been a great candidate from the start, but sometimes it doesn't always work out in the first cycle. Too many students give up if they aren't accepted during the first cycle but Mia has been determined to become a PA since the day we spoke to her. Although the first cycle didn't work out, Mia just moved onto the next cycle and doing everything she could to demonstrate what a great candidate she is and how determined she is to become a PA. And this cycle... it paid off! It's this type of resilience and determination PA programs are looking for in a student. As a PA, you will likely encounter a patient that doesn't respond to the treatment you have prescribed. But it takes someone with great determination to go the extra distance and find out why that patient isn't responding and get the proper help and Mia is certainly such a person! There is no question Mia is going to be a leader in her class at Midwestern and will have a very long and successful career as a PA. Congratulations to Balpreet who was accepted into the PA Program at Mary Baldwin University! Ainsley is likely going to be our last acceptance for the 2022-23 application cycle - yes, believe it or not, interviews are still ongoing for the LAST cycle! This was Ainsley's second time applying and her acceptance couldn't have come at a better time as she was getting ready to submit again. Ainsley contacted us when she was still a Junior in college and although she didn't get accepted her first cycle, we knew it might be a longshot given she hadn't completed some of her prerequisites. However, she did get some interviews the first cycle and it was great preparation for her second cycle. Her interviews came pretty late this cycle... but in the end... the result is the same... Congratulations to Sophia who was admitted into the Yeshiva PA Program! Sophia came to us a few years ago like everyone, wanting to get in on her first cycle. But unfortunately, for Sophia, things didn't work out on her first or even second cycle. Like so many other candidates, Sophia might not have the "typical" stats and when a program meets a student at an interview, it's sometimes just for a few minutes and they might not see what an amazing candidate someone is. But we have been working with Sophia for some time now and knew that a school would eventually see what we have known which is she can handle the rigors of a PA Program and will be every successful. In the beginning, it was her GPA that was holding her back a bit. Congratulations to John who was recently accepted into the South College PA Program at Asheville! John is a second time applicant and while doesn't exactly match the "typical" statistics you might see when looking at accepted PA students, John is so much more than a number! When John wasn't successful his first cycle, he contacted us to see how he could be more competitive. After meeting with John, we could see how passionate he is about being a PA and again, some of his stats didn't represent what an amazing candidate he truly is. Anthony, a third time applicant, is the textbook definition of resilience! Unfortunately, despite interviews, Anthony was not accepted his first or even his second cycle. But like no other candidate we have worked with, Anthony was determined to be a Physician Assistant and never gave up. After the first and second cycle, there was discouragement, but Anthony put it aside and just went about making himself a more competitive candidate for the next cycle. Congratulations to Amanda who was accepted into the MCPHS PA Program! This was Amanda's second acceptance for this cycle but what was truly unique is Amanda only recently applied to these programs this year! Amanda contacted us last year to see how we could help her be a competitive candidate. It was a little later in the cycle and ultimately, she did get her application out, but it was very late in the year. Congratulations to Carolina who was accepted into the NOVA PA Program at Ft. Myers! Carolina was a second time applicant and someone who never gave up and demonstrated resilience throughout both cycle.
