TUDCC Joint Trip - 17-19/11/2023 Weekend By: Ajax This trip consisted of two individuals from the QUB Caving Club being myself (Ajax) and Peter, the caves were located in the south west of Ireland on the near opposite side of the island. The trip itself went off without a hitch leaving early in the afternoon. I was picked up and we drove straight to our destination which totaled to be a 4 and a half hour trip, with added pit stops along the way. 🤔 "Are rings safe to pierce with?" in certain cases, absolutely! It heavily depends on what piercing and what jewellery is being used, however... ⤵️ Some piercings heal best when pierced with a ring, like daiths and septums, but the size and style of the jewellery is most important. I will only use accurately sized decorative seam rings or BCRs in these piercings to ensure a safe and practical healing process. Jewellery like hinges and seam rings without any decoration/bead where the seam is can cause issues as the connective parts of the jewellery will rotate into the fresh piercing. This can lead to irritation bumps and the constant reintroduction of bacteria and biofilm into the wound.
