We had a great day at Black Hills Caverns for their soft opening/friends and family day! We highly recommend making Black Hills Caverns part of your summer plans 🪨. It’s great for the whole family. They have a 30 min tour & an hour long tour. We did the hour long tour and had a great guide! There are a lots of activities for the kids like gem 💎 panning & crystal mining! Day 4 of New Mexico: Carlsbad Cavern @carlsbadcavernsnps These photos do absolutely no justice to the scale of this cave system. This system is so vast and I had never experienced anything like it from the caves I’ve been in on the East coast. Definitely recommend doing the Ranger guided King’s Palace tour- especially if you’ve never experienced a black-out before in a cave. According to old Nordic Christian lore, Dimmuborgir is the place where Satan landed when he was cast from the heavens and created the apparent “The Catacombs of Hell”. (Copied from Wikipedia). 23 марта 2024. Ice-cream cave, Ko Phanak Island, Thailand. Тур на острова Джеймса Бонда. Самым первым пунктом нашей экскурсии было посещение пещеры. До последнего нам не сообщали в какую именно мы едем пещеру, зависело от решения капитана корабля и от прилива. Должны были завезти либо в Мангровую пещеру, либо в пещеру Мороженого. Мангровая оказалась затоплена и нас привезли на остров Ко Панак в пещеру Ice-cream. Ещё на корабле всем раздали касочки. И самое главное - они пригодились 😁 Несколько человек, включая Витю вписались в своды пещеры головами. Так что меры безопасности вовсе не лишние :) В пещере, как вы видите, нет никакого освещения. Это тебе не впечатляющие своей величиной и обустроенностью пещеры Прометея и Сатаплия в Грузии. Здесь приходилось подсвечивать себе дорогу фонариком на телефоне, но так даже интереснее! Чувствуешь себя чуть ли не первооткрывателем, если не обращать внимание на ещё человек 30 вокруг 😂😂😂 Пещера получила свое милое название в честь одного из самых значимых сталагмитов, который очертаниями напоминает рожок мороженого 🍦 Очень удивило, что сталагмит не огорожен от толпы, хотя в целом было бы не лишним, честно говоря. Дело в том, что сталагмиты и сталактиты растут оооочень медленно! В среднем на 0,13 мм в год!!! Даже не миллиметр, представляете!? Надо 10 лет, чтобы нарастить 1 мм этой красоты! При этом трогать их, естественно, нельзя, потому что неосторожное прикосновение разрушает слой за несколько лет. Гиды об этом говорят неоднократно, раз 200, клянусь! На всех языках! 'Руками не трогать! Please don't touch!', но... буквально каждый 2-й лезет сфоткаться с мороженкой и хватается за неё руками 😫😭😨 О Боги, гиды горло сорвали каждому говорить please don't touch! Don't touch!! Не трогайте! Лично мне захотелось убивать))) ну как так можно, а? Я бы нафиг отгородила от таких туристов тройным забором, если не понимают по-хорошему 😃😁 Но тайцы пока держатся на Don't touch! Стойкие ребята 😁 Прогулка по пещере очень понравилась. Красиво и необычно. На острове с пещерой мы пробыли около 30 минут и освободили место следующей партии туристов, которым гиды с неутомимым упорством вещали про don't touch 😁
