Le Rice Terrace di Tegallalang sono uno dei luoghi più noti e turistici di Bali. Raggiungibili a soli 20 minuti di macchina da Ubud, ad oggi sono patrimonio mondiale dell’UNESCO…. 💚 Una serie di risaie splendidamente disposte che seguono il tradizionale sistema di irrigazione balinese chiamato “subak”. Queste, insieme alle risaie dei villaggi di Pejeng e Campuhan, formano i tre paesaggi terrazzati più belli della regione di Ubud. A soli 8 minuti di auto da qui è possibile visitare anche Il tempio di Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu, dedicato al dio dell’acqua, in cui sono sepolti i membri della famiglia reale. Sono rimasta incantata dagli specchi d’acqua che riflettono la bellezza e la maestosità di questo posto. There are rice fields everywhere in Bali so it's no challenge to find one to visit. The popular locations are near major towns like Ubud and Canggu and of course many are on the regular tourist trail and frequented by the instagram cartel. Best time to visit: between April and November when lush and green. However due to succession planting the scenery is stunning all year round. Tegallalang is Bali's most famous rice terrace, and UNESCO World Heritage Site. So of course we did visit the area but I wasn't surprised to be disappointed at how touristy it is - bus loads of visitors and saturated with restaurants/cafes competing for the best view (often charging for the privilege). The serene instagram-worthy shots v the reality of people everywhere really wasn't fun. If you want to explore the rice fields near Ubud I highly recommend heading out on a bike or just take a wander on foot as there are some quiet trails close by. 📍 Bali, Indonesia Se que algunos de vosotros este año vais a Bali y otros ya habéis ido o queréis volver. Los arrozales de Tegalallang son un must indiscutible, ubicados a unos 15km de Ubud, eso si, ha cambiado mucho ahora a mi visita en 2015, en 9 años se ha masificado una barbaridad y se tiene que pagar por casi todo, sin hablar ya del "postureo" y el columpio que han puesto. Hace 9 años no había casi nada de eso, eran arrozales sin turismo masivo y mas "naturales". Yo paseé tranquilamente por medio sin pagar nada, sin apenas gente y saludando a los agricultores locales (si les dabas algo de dinero no decian que no eh?), lo mismo que en los arrozales de Jatiluwih o en Campuhan Ridge Walk. Tengo sentimientos encontrados con destinos naturales que se han ido moldeando para el turismo, que opináis vosotros?
