En la Alhambra había dragones. En el mundo del cine tenemos un trío de retos terroríficos: rodar con animales, con personas muy mayores o con niños. En la interpretación del patrimonio los niños vuelven a ser un terror para los guías pues son, sin duda, uno de los públicos más exigentes. Ayer enseñé el Albayzín a un grupo con 6 niños y me reí como en años. Y es que un paseo sin expectativas, con el objetivo de pasar un buen rato y acercar una parte de la historia a los enanos es garantía de risas, locuras y diversión. Muchas gracias por enseñarme los dragones de la Alhambra, los trolls de las paredes, los espíritus de las puertas albayzineras, las casas de los duendes del agua y la puerta del castillo invisible. Me parece haber estado entre las bambalinas del Albayzín, corriendo la cortina de la realidad que ven los adultos que miran sólo con los ojos. Quiero más!! 💚💚💚 Attempting to console myself at having to hand back the most fabulous zoomage engineering I’ve had the pleasure to hold in my hot little photographic paws – that stonkering @nikonaustralia Z9 + 600mm ƒ4 1.4TC – I noticed a likely last entomological huzzah of the season with that breathtaking little Chequered Cuckoo Bee (Thyreus caeruleopunctatus) AND a Blue-banded bees (Amegilla cingulata) in the lavender outside the kitchen window. 💚Not my favourite snaps of them (it’s breezy in the garden at the moment, so they’re all over the shop), but it’s just a “comfort shoot” with my rig (which is superb at these macros), shall we say? こんにちは！ 皆様はゴールデンウィーク中、どのようにお過ごしの予定でしょうか。 本日で４月も終わり、明日から５月に入りますが、西洋には「３月の風と４月の雨が５月の花を咲かせる（March Winds and April Showers bring forth May Flowers）」という諺があるそうで、これは風の日と雨の日の多いイギリスの気候を端的に表しています。 転じて、何事も辛い時期もあれば、良い時期もあるという意味に用いられ、日本語で似たことわざを探すならば「塞翁が馬」や「苦あれば楽あり」に相当する言葉になります。 一説によるとこの言葉は、14世紀の詩人ジェフリー・チョーサーが書いた『カンタベリー物語』の作中での台詞が出典元であったそうな。 カンタベリー物語は、中世時代の"中英語"で書かれた書物という点でも貴重な文学作品です。 1998年、初版本がロンドンでのオークションで462万ポンド（約10億8千万円）で落札されたことでも話題を集めましたね。 物語は、聖地カンタベリーに向かう途中、宿で出会った旅人たちが退屈しのぎにそれぞれ持ち寄った話を語っていく形式で展開していきます。 （この構造はボッカチオの『デカメロン』調とも言われています） 旅人たちの目的地であるカンタベリー大聖堂は、イギリス国内で最も格式の高い聖堂として1988年に世界遺産登録されました。 店長もロンドン留学中に、学友たちと日帰りでカンタベリーを訪れたことがあるのですが、この時期になると「５月の花を咲かせる」のことわざとともに、イギリスらしい悪天候の中で決行したカンタベリー旅行のことを度々思い出します。 今年の５月は、過ごしやすく、程よい天候に恵まれることを願いたいですよね。 There is a proverb that says, "March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers," which describes the windy and rainy weather in the UK. The story unfolds in the style of travelers who meet at inn on their way to the Canterbury telling stories they have brought with them to kill the time. Canterbury Cathedral, the travelers' destination, was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1988 as the most prestigious cathedral in the United Kingdom. A base of cobalt-derived dark blue glaze was first applied, followed by a layer of gold where intricate details were painted. 🍃 ❌ Interestingly, lajvardina derives its name from the Persian term for lapis lazuli, a precious blue mineral.
