The Punjab Communication and Work (C&W) department have announced a substantial increase in toll plaza rates across the province, effective from February 1. However, the Minister announced the reinstatement of the tolls in the 2023 budget read on Thursday, November 24, 2022, due to income deficits from the e-Levy. It’s reintroduction came with new prices as well; For instance, instead of paying the planned GH2 by the Roads Ministry, heavy buses would instead pay GH1.5. Instead of the anticipated GH1 fee, cars will pay GHp50. Since I posted this video https://youtube.com/shorts/l__FPrMo8Oo?feature=share some have countered that the emissions are worse at street level and on busy roads and that most monitoring equipment tends to be placed high up and not near busy roads. In the video I mostly referenced the air monitoring point near IKEA in Brent. I just looked at the IKEA air quality measurement equipment on Google Street View - it’s right on one of the busiest part of the North Circular road, adjacent to the pavement, and at face level. I think my point regarding air quality being fine stands. According to him, the amount paid previously as road toll was not enough to construct enough good roads. Therefore, there will be an increment in the amount paid as road toll to obtain more funds to construct good roads in the country. “We were paying the lowest toll in the whole world while we wanted excellent and good roads. Alkaa olla jos jonkinmoista boksia kiinni lasissa. Vielä näkee sentään liikennemerkit. 😂 Tietullit digitalisoituvat hyvää vauhtia, mutta aikamoinen tuska on hakea tietoa eri maiden käytännöistä ja erityisesti boksien haku- ja lisäsaldonmaksupaikoista. Karttapohjaisuus ei ole päivän sana vielä. 🥵 Boksien sijoittelu on toinen asia. Tästä jo saatiinkin sakot, koska oltiin totuttu kojelaudan päälle laitettavaan ja nyt olisi pitänyt olla lasissa (ja kun ei ollut, niin reilu pari hunttia köyhempiä ollaan - ei siis ollut rekisteröinyt kulkuamme kaikkien kulkemiemme maksupisteiden läpi). Seuraavana Puola, joka luopui omasta Via Toll -systeemistään viime vuonna ja nyt on uusi systeemi. Sinne ei tietenkään saatu tiliä aktivoitua. Jonkun se pitää hyväksyä ja sunnuntaina ei vissiin kukaan sitä tee. Katotaan nyt miten meidän käy. 😃 Tällaisella maasta toiseen pomppimisella käy vänkärille ihan salapoliisityöstä. Aamulla Tsekin boksi lähti sujuvasti ilman yhteistä kieltä mukaan. Seuraavaksi ihmetellään sen palautusta. Olisi aika siistiä, jos koko EU-alueella sovellettaisiin samaa käytännettä. Helpottaisi kovasti matkustusta. Niin, ja ettei ketään pelota lähteä autolla Eurooppaan, niin tämä laatikkoleikki koskee yli 3500 tonnisia ajoneuvoja. Henkilöautot pääsevät sähköisillä ja paperivinjeteillä. 🤗 GDPR:n näkökulmasta lienemme jokaisen boksin vastaanottaessamme hyväksyneet tietojemme käytön. Olen vain laittanut nimet alle. 😅 Vaihtoehtona olisi matkustaa reittejä, joilla ei ole moottoriteitä tai isompia maksullisia teitä.
