I'm gonna talk to you as if you were my best friend so here goes… Girllllllllll,,,,,, you got things to do, places to go and children that need to be snatched up because you told them not to eat your food that you left in the fridge after one of your public engagements, girl. You don’t have time for this and you are gonna get through this thing no questions asked. Everyday just keep praising God because he is a healer and He has not forgotten about you at all. He will move on your behalf. You have many people that are praying for you and don’t forget to thank Him OUTLOUD that you are healed. Honey there is no distance in prayer and God can answer prayer anywhere. I pray that there are some Christians that can come and lay hands on you and agree with you in prayer that you are healed in Jesus’ name as well. You have too much to do and you need to be looking at Charlotte with the side eye in the years to come because she is taking your clothes without asking you first honey…lol. Don’t give up.. you are a fighter and THE ultimate champion got you. Katie Bear go and cry out to God by yourself outside or a private room and tell him everything. He said in his word that he is close to the brokenhearted in Psalm 34:18. Here are some healing scriptures too: • Jeremiah 17:14 - Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. • James 5:15 - And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. • Mark 10:27 - And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. • 1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed. Everything is already alright and thank him in the bed when you open your eyes and let your children hear you thanking him too because they are gonna start saying the Lord is gonna heal my mom. Praise God.. I can’t wait to meet you one day and have some hot chocolate and laugh about being millennials and talk about your next Vogue cover honey, praise God. Luv, Marie

🇬🇧 A curiosity: it was at Queen Victoria’s wedding that the common custom of wearing white was born, despite the fact that at the time the queens of France wore white as a sign of mourning and it was considered a bad omen. Before her, Mary I of Scotland had already married in white in 1558, but subsequent events had reinforced the idea that it was not appropriate to repeat the choice... • • • #royalfamily #queenvictoria #queenmary #scotland #uk #royalblogger #royalfamily #princealbert #windsorcastle #queenelizabeth #royalwedding #weddingdress #royalbride #london #stjamespark #buckinghampalace #love

Royal Regalia - Did you know… After Prince Albert’s death Queen Victoria only ever wore his Lesser George upon her Garter riband. This Lesser George was Initially set for George IV but was reset with additions for Queen Victoria and presented to Prince Albert as a wedding gift, February 1840. This badge is a swivel frame which can be turned to reveal either St George or St Andrew. Queen Victoria presented Prince Albert with a spectacular set of Garter insignia on 8 February, two days before their wedding. At a meeting that day with the Prime Minister, Lord Melbourne, ‘Lord M. admired the diamond Garter which Albert had on, and said “Very handsome.” I told him it was my gift; I also gave him (all before dinner) a diamond star, I had worn, and badge’. His double badge was worn by Queen Victoria throughout her widowhood, for the first time at the wedding of the Prince of Wales and Princess Alexandra in 1863. In her Journal she wrote: ‘… for the 1st time since Dec ’61 [wore] the ribbon, star & badge of the Order of the Garter, the latter being one my beloved one had worn …’. This Lesser George was frequently worn by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II upon her Garter Sash. You can read more about this beautiful piece of regalia over on my blog, link in my bio !

In her Journal, Princess Victoria recorded several sittings for Henry Collen at which this likeness must have been taken: ‘At 2 I sat to Mr. Collen for my picture till 3’ (18 March 1835); ‘At ½ past I sat to Mr. Collen till 3’ (28 March 1835); ‘At ½ past 2 I sat to Mr. Collen till ½ past 3’ (14 July 1835). She was sitting for him again in 1837: ‘At ½ p. 4 I sat to Mr. Collen till a little after 5’ (RA QVJ: 10 April 1837). Several versions of this miniature are known and a small lithograph in the National Portrait Gallery, London, shows a variant of the 1835 image, with the same head type, but in reverse with differences in the position of the Queen’s arms and costume. This may have been based on a miniature painted for Princess Victoria’s half-sister, Princess Feodora of Hohenlohe-Langenburg which she discussed in a letter dated 20 December 1835: 'I am very happy to hear, that the portrait of my ugly face pleased you, and that you find it like; had it not been for your dear sake, I would not have spent so many tedious hours for Collen. You say, it looks older, and that it certainly does, but then you must consider that it is now a year and 5 months since you have seen me and that must make a difference; then again, you say that my mouth is not quite like; the cause of that is, that I kept my mouth shut to please you, which changes my expression a good deal. I often shut my mouth now as it is thought more becoming'. Probably painted for Victoria, Duchess of Kent and bequeathed by her to Queen Victoria in 1861

Queen Victoria’s final journals - part 9 Wednesday 9th January 1901 “Rather a better night, but slept on late into the morning, which is so provoking. – Heard that Ld Robert’s ship had arrived safely & was anchored in the Roads. – I managed to get out for ½ an hour with Lenchen, & went to Barton to speak to the Slaters. Then went to look at the arch which has been put in honour of Ld Roberts at the Prince of Wales Gate. – Drove in the afternoon with Louie & Mary H., getting home just in time before Ld Roberts arrived. Arthur, & Beatrice, in her capacity as Governor of the Isle of Wight, met him at Trinity Pier, where he received an Address from the towns people. On Ld Roberts arrival here, Arthur took him to the Council Room, where the family were assembled & then took him to see Lenchen in her own room, after which he brought him to the Drawingroom, where I was. I received him most warmly shaking hands with him, & he knelt down & kissed my hand. Arthur then left him with me. Ld Roberts spoke with such grief of dear Christle’s death & said he could not say how deeply he mourned him, & how he felt for all of us. It had been such a shock, as he had not had the slightest idea there was any danger, during Christle’s whole illness, up to the very last, he had looked so well & been so cheerful. 📸 Queen Victoria in October 1890 by Princess (later Queen) Alexandra

Royal jewellery- Queen Victoria’s Bow Brooches. In 1858, the King of Hanover claimed all jewels that once belonged to Queen Charlotte. As a result, Queen Victoria lost many of her favourite pieces, including a set of diamond bow brooches. These brooches were among several pieces commissioned from R & S Gerrard & Co to replace the originals. Each one is a slightly different size and together they contain a total of 497 brilliant cut stones and nine rose cut stones that taken from unused pieces of jewellery in Queen Victoria’s personal collection. Unfortunately I can’t find any photos of her wearing them. Like many items in Victorias jewellery box, the brooches were left as an heirloom of the Crown. The first to inherit the bows was Victoria’s daughter-in-law, Queen Alexandra. Alexandra preferred wearing the brooches as a set and most notably wore them to both the opening of parliament in 1901 and to her coronation as Queen Consort in 1902. Unusually, she would wear them cascading down her skirt, usually with a pendent attatched to a tiny suspension loop. After King Edward VII died in 1910, the brooches were inherited by King George V and his wife, Queen Mary. Like Queen Alexandra, Mary wore the brooches for her coronation in 1911 and mostly wore them with a pendant. On one occasion, she was photographed with the large Cullinan III stone suspended from the largest bow and two smaller pear-shaped drops from the other two. Unlike Alexandra and Mary, Queen Elizabeth, who inherited i them in 1936, rarely wore the brooches and tended only wear one at a time. In 1952, they were passed down to Queen Elizabeth II. The brooches soon became a favourite of our beloved Queen, and have since become a symbol of her reign. She wore them to several important occasions, including to the funeral of Princess Diana, to her Golden Jubilee celebrations in 2002 and most recently on the 5th June 2022 for one of her final balcony appearances at Buckingham Palace. The brooches are now in the possession of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Shared from my blog post yesterday.

Queen Victoria’s final journals - part 7 Monday 7th January 1901 Had a much better night, but still slept on late. — A very cold day with a very high wind. — Took a short drive in a closed carriage, at 2.30. with Ismay S. — Dictated some letters to Lenchen. — We were delighted to hear from Anna Battenberg, also from Victoria B. & finally, officially, that the young Queen of Italy is at length going to have a child. — Rested. — Ismay S. read to me in the evening out of the new book by Ly Margaret Majendie called “The Mystery of Rougemont”. — Lenchen & Beatrice came up to sit with me after their dinner. — Further reports from Ld Kitchener. — 📸 Photograph of Queen Victoria wearing spectacles and leaning forward to read a piece of paper that she holds in both hands 1901. Towards the end of Queen Victoria’s life the portraits issued showed her just as she was: an elderly lady. It seems as though, throughout her life, the Queen wished to show her feelings to the world: first as a wife; then as a broken-hearted widow; and finally as the Queen Empress who was the ‘grandmother of Europe’ and mother of her people. Queen Victoria’s truthful nature and lack of vanity sometimes allowed the publication of portraits which were not flattering. She justified this by claiming, ‘I do not think ... much of artistic arrangements in photographs and God knows there is nothing to admire in my ugly old person.’

Queen Victoria’s final journals - part 6 Sunday 6th January 1901 ‘An improved night, though I wake often. — Lenchen came & read letters to me after I got up. — The accounts of dear Vicky are not at all satisfactory, which make me so sad. — It blew so hard & was so cold, that I did not go out in the morning. — At 3 drove in a closed carriage with Lenchen & Beatrice. — At 5 had a short service in the Drawingroom, like the other day. The ladies & some of the gentlemen & servant were present. We had 3 Hymns, one very pretty one the Vesper Hymn. Only the Choir Boys sang & Beatrice accompanied on the Harmonium. Mr Clement Smith officiated. — Had my supper of Benger’s food, which is very soothing & nourishing, after which Ismay S. came & read to me, & then Lenchen & Beatrice sat with me for a while. — Saw Sir Francis Laking, who is here to relieve Sir James Reid a little.’ 📸 Full length seated portrait photogravure of Queen Victoria sitting at a chair with a carved tiger head on the arm rest. Queen Victoria’s final journals - part 5 Saturday 5th January 1901 ‘Had a bad & much disturbed night. Felt very exhausted. — Beatrice went out with me for a short while late in the morning & in the afternoon I drove with Lenchen & Ismay S. to Newport & back. It was very fine, but cold. — I was very drowsy, when I came home. — Harriet P. read to me. —’

What has Snap Dragon, brandy and a gigantic cake got in common with Queen Victoria? Twelfth Night celebrations that’s right! Victorians playing with fire and drunken characters, Twelth Night was a rather peculiar ordeal in Victorian Britain. Read more here…. https://www.youngqueenvictoria.co.uk/queenvictoriarevivalthe-twelfth-night Prince Of Wales Twelfth Night characters. Once cut into cards, party-goers could draw these figures out of a hat, then perfom the characters–a host might also send such cards to guests in advance to allow them to prepare suitable costumes. Festivities on January 6th, which is also known as Three Kings’ Day or the Feast of the Epiphany, concluded the Christmas season and often included games that disrupted the normal social order; a servant, for example, might be elevated to monarch of the feast. Specially decorated cakes were enjoyed and examples appear here next to the king and queen.

1/5/2024, 6:22:54 PM

Twelfth Night – the last day of Christmas – falls on 5th January but was often celebrated on 6th January; it is the day of the Kings, combining the church feast of Epiphany, when the baby Christ was visited by three Magi, showed physical manifestation to the Gentiles and was baptised by John The Baptist, with elements of the subversive and rowdy Roman feast of Saturnalia, in which master and slave swap places. By the end of the nineteenth century, a pincer-movement of Queen Victoria’s disapproval of its riotousness and the Scrooge-like exigencies of commerce and industry squeezed the Twelve Days of Christmas down to three bank holidays. Dickens’s life shows us what we have lost; an opportunity for coming together for a last hurrah before the pinch of winter, for joy, drama, music, wassail and that great icon of Twelfth Night – the Twelfth Cake Later on today I will be sharing a blog all about Queen Victoria’s twelfth night celebrations from the beginning to the end of her reign. From her gigantic twelfth night cake to her disapproval of the celebrations in later life. Watch this space and have a wonderful twelfth night!

The last weeks of Queen Victoria…. When the bells ushered in the New Year in 1901, Queen Victoria’s reign began to diminish... It had been suggested in Dr Reid’s final report on Queen Victoria’s death that Victoria’s decline had been caused by the indirect consequence of major depression. The Queen’s Journal suggests that a severe late-life depressive episode occurring approximately in her last 5 months contributed meaningfully to her death. The antecedents of Queen Victoria’s late-life depression, including multiple losses, disabilities, and chronic pain, taken together with the presentation of vegetative, affective, and late cognitive symptoms, suggested the presence of a distinctively geriatric major depressive disorder. You can read all about the last weeks of Queen Victoria on my blog at https://www.youngqueenvictoria.co.uk/queenvictoriarevivalthe-final-weeks-of-queen-victoria I will also be covering the death and funeral of Queen Victoria in the coming weeks

On 31 December 2023, at 6pm or 18;00 hours, the Queen of Denmark made her traditional New Year speech from the Audience Room at the Christian IX Palace, Amalienborg. This will be the 52nd and last such broadcast of her long reign, as in the course of the talk to her people she indicated that she was abdicating the throne on 14 January-52 years to the day that she succeeded her late father's death. The flowers on the desk are a gift and the Queen only sees them for the first time as she sits down to begin her speech. Later, the television crew were offered champagne and cake from court officials. A wonderful tradition! #tiaras #royaljewels #royalfamily #casareal #reinasofia

Dziś swoją 22. rocznicę ślubu obchodzi książęca para koronna Norwegii - Mette-Marit i Haakon.

My new interview with Sarah Knights is now live!! 👏🏼 Be sure to click the link in the bio⬆️ 💌In the culture that we live in it's so very easy to not be our authentic selves or to even stretch ourselves to do something that makes us uncomfortable. People are so conditioned to not stand out, to not make a scene, to just fade into the background. This kind of thought pattern is ingrained which affects everything from our actions that stays the same, to our beliefs that stay the same, to our circle of friends that are the same and even how we dress- which is just like everyone else. "Forget what people will like or not like" Just like Sarah said you have to really forget what people will like or not like and Just do it! It takes courage to do something that you know will help you even though people around you may not agree. It takes courage to leave behind people who are holding you back in life even if you have been friends with them for years. It takes courage to say no I am leaving behind old habits because I want to fulfill my destiny. To get started with the masterpiece that is your life, you will have to make some decisions that people may or may not like but in the end you will be better for the courageous decision that you made. Things will get better but remember you are one decision away from you stepping into the life of your dreams! #saraknights #artlover #trinidadandtobago #design #royalhighness #royalvibes #royalfamily# #style #art #palace #royalty #royalblog #uk #motivation #inspiration #faith #inspiration #europeanroyalty #royalwriter #instagood #luvthis #artistsoninstagram #fashion #crown #kingcharles #queen #royalblogger #locqueen #locs #blackgirlmagic
