so i decided to redraw the doo family tree from the scooby doo encyclopedia! these designs def aren't set in stone, but it was rly fun! I tried to keep general poses and expressions the same. i couldn't figure out a good way to squeeze the names in there, but they're in the same order as the original pic. here's some design notes: Dixie Doo got the most drastic change. i hate her cannon one. for my design she's inspired by Dolly Parton. no more lipstick, but she can have eyeshadow. and i left it intentionally up to the viewer if her darker cheeks is blush or her actual markings Scooby Dee looks the most like an actual great dane, since that's how she looks in cannon. i think it's funny how different she looks to other dogs in the family, so i left it i wanted Skippy Doo to look like a scruffy version of his dad, but he ended up looking like Spooky Doo lol Dooby Doo intentionally looks a lot like Scooby, since the ep he's in the fact they look really similar is important I'm not entirely pleased with any of the grandpas, but ehh, whatever i added a lil hair and chin fluff to Whoopsy Doo. i think it looks cute. anyway, feel free to ask if u have any other questions on the designs! I had been switching over to just using one account @myfirstfoal so I haven't been very active on here - follow me on there if you want to see more of the horses and dogs Quick summary - at the end of January Ruby got sick and after a few Vet appts we determined that she had eaten some fabric, and were trying to figure out if there was another underlying issue. She got worse shortly after a huge storm hit. The roads and driveway were full of snow- we were stuck from Friday night until Tuesday morning.We got her to her Vet and from there to AVC. The first few appts had been adding up, and surgery was the option we were at. It was a very difficult decision (she is almost 12) but we had help very quickly from family and friends to go ahead with surgery February 6. The surgery went better than anyone expected, and she is recovering wonderfully 💕 I do have the link to her fundraiser page in my bio if anyone wants to read the entire story and share or donate. We are getting caught up as best we can but pre-surgery we hit $3k and the AVC bill was just over $5k. Miss Mira wasn't happy with the lateness of today's breakfast, but was happy to stretch in the indoor and I got some real #HorseyTime which was absolutely needed for my Mental health... after what I would say was the Most emotionally stressful day I have had in a very long time. (Also being snowed in, I just saw Mira for the first time in 5 days and am sooooo glad she was at such a great place where I did not have to worry about her at all) Thanks to some amazing Family, Friends, Veterinarians, Vet Techs and Support Staff, Students at AVC, generously strangers and support from social media followers, we got our dog Ruby to the @atlanticveterinarycollege for surgery yesterday. There is a much longer story about it in my previous post and I think I added the GoFundMe link to my Bio. This dog has been with me through the worst of my medical issues with my #crohnsdisease and was healthy and acting normal until last week. We knew she may have eaten something and had a lot of trouble determining how much and where it was. She needed foreign object removal surgery and we were snowed in for over 3 days after she got worse. There were some anomalies on her bloodwork that made it complicated as well so she needed to get to the Specialists at AVC. *The GOOD NEWS is the surgery went very well and now Ruby is in recovery and getting meds to deal with the pancreatitis We appreciate every bit of encouragement and support. Our dog Ruby has been sick since Jan 28 after eating some of a dog bed. She had been to the Vet a few times, had many xrays and scans, but got worse Feb 2 during a snowstorm - which continued for days. We were not able to get back to a Vet until this morning 84 hours after she declined. She is now at the Atlantic Veterinary College here in PEI - which we are very fortunate is close - but felt extremely far away while we were stranded because of the #Snowmageddon2024 She needs foreign body removal surgery and treatment for pancreatitis. It is not a straightforward case by any means and we have made the decision to go ahead, and looking at a bill of around $10k(in addition to the $3k from the last week since this started) The last pic is Mira's field. I haven't seen her since early Friday, but she is well looked after and safe in the barn. If you aren't from Canada, you may not understand, but I mean 4-6 feet of snow in our 500ft driveway and another 3 km of secondary roads that were completely blocked. The snow and wind wouldn't let up long enough for plows to get through. I have set up a GofundMe because we hit the point where it felt like a financial decision and we want to give her a chance.
