My love of the water stems from a love of the sea. The more I think about it the more it's woven itself within my life. ๐ฌ I was completely captivated by the blue planet series when I was younger and instantly wanted to be a marine biologist. ๐ My time as an aquarium host whilst at university. Studying and researching marine wildlife to enrich the visitor experience. Hoping that it could ignite the same passion in someone else. ๐ฆ Working in wildlife tv and becoming obsessed by the intricacies of research and the power of knowledge. Now being able to work above and below the water with people to share a love of the water is an absolute dream. The past few weeks has reignited this thirst for marine knowledge again, a need to help spread the message of conservation and protection. My continued medic work with @bdmlr_uk reminds me of my aquarium work, mostly explaining why children can't touch the animals.... but it starts a conversation a chance for engagement and interest. Then I was off to Knoydart with @swimwild_uk where I spent a week boat exploring the small isles. Chatting to Andy on board the Mary Doune, talking everything from Ocean quahogs to basking sharks. Having binoculars ready around the neck and a camera slung over my shoulder felt like home, so hoping to dive a little further into research again and seeing what wonderful things I find. All in hope to help educate and inform the people I meet along the way ๐๐ค
