Stringing beads, or threading beads, can be a challenging and fun activity for a child to master, initially. Through their continued interest in choosing this work, chidlren are able to practice as often as they would like, to gain mastery over this material. Children can start learning to string beads as early as 15 months depending on their interest and coordination. This material is introduced in our Nido program, with a small amount of beads that are size appropriate for the student. As they transition to Toddler and Children's House, the level of challenge increases with smaller beads, different textures (like pasta, straws, buttons, pompoms), and smaller bead openings. Threading beads activity is an excellent way to strengthen the finger muscles and their movement as they work together. It helps children develop fine motor skills essential for being able to pre-writing activities, buttoning the shirt, tie shoelaces, open containers, and more. It helps a child in building bilateral coordination skills as they hold beads from one hand and string from the other. Stringing activities help a child to build concentration and patience, as it requires a child to sit for a longer duration and complete the activity. They learn how to string a bead by failing and thus build perseverance. How would you introduce this material at home? Aujourd'hui j'ai envie de vous partager notre mini monde de l'hiver : fausse neige, sapin décoratif, eau congelé avec des éléments incrustés, animaux de chez @schleich.france. . Une activité qui a intrigué petit Mr, surtout cette fausse neige composée de bicarbonate + eau (recette de chez @lestizateliersmontessori ). La texture est parfaite et donne vraiment cette impression que c'est vrai. .
