Witnessing the suffering of individuals with severe mental health issues in my day job, I recognize the inadequacies of our current system in supporting them. We need a therapeutic approach that allows individuals to access talking therapies while also engaging in hands-on creative activities. Lately I’ve been super into Blue, granted despite always rocking black. Many bright blue shades are my favorite colors. Blue represents tranquility, inspiration & peace. Also, glitter blue eye liner is just a vibe & so fun. Creative expression is always my vibe and always has been. Let people be who they want and display that as they want. Working in the makeup realm, I’ve always heard “ XYZ doesn’t like that, or oh I wish I could but so & so wouldn’t approve or I can’t pull it off, so I never tried it. I never understood this. I still don’t. Why allow someone else’s opinion to dim your light? Or plant seeds of doubt that weren’t organic to your mind? Yes in some facets I can see this but at the same time. You should be able to express yourself as you want & not only have the support of those around you, but that cheering you oh type energy. I just love to see the authenticity and self acceptance.
