This ring was a lovely piece to make. The customer wanted her ring to be copied so she could give it to her daughter. I saw her ring once and had a picture. Her ring was very thin and worn from years of wear so I made a much more sturdy ring. Her ring had 5 diamonds in it but we decided to do just the one stone. I have not set anything like this before but it looks quite sturdy in its setting. Date night to celebrate 4 years since I had chemo for my prostate cancer. So 4 years ago the oncologist gave me 4 years to live. But we think he was being unkind and now since moving to Shropshire I have a new oncologist and they think I will be around for muck longer hopefully. I love making my New Nouvo pendants. I start with a piece of wire and don’t really know what it will look like until I stop so each piece is unique. Making these are not as simple as they look. It’s knowing when to stop and making sure the flow is right and the negative spaces are just as important as the piece itself. It’s like a meditation.
