I love making these beads. The feel of the clay that starts out cold in my hands, then warms and softens as I shape the beads. There is the care that they require over the next week. The mixing of the glaze with the ash, and the feel of my brush against texture of the bisque clay. There is the cutting, sanding and shaping of the bead core. For me this is a completely different mind and skill set. Much more precise with some blades and fire involved. This is the first time I have had such a stunning variety in colors and textures all at the same time. This was the most green I have ever seen. I think they are all quite beautiful. There is a very noticeable difference in the cremains from traditional cremation and āaquamationā alkaline hydrolysis. The remains from alkaline hydrolysis are more consistent, more likeā¦.baking soda. Alkaline hydrolysis is ecologically a cleaner and friendly alternative to traditional cremation.
