February 27, 2019. Snowpocalypse or snowmageddon. Two days after it snowed 12" overnight in Eugene-Springfield, Oregon, a place where it usually doesn't snow more than an inch or two in a year. This year we didn't even get that. It continued to snow for the next few days for a total of 19 inches of snow. 40,000 were without power. Some for weeks. Luckily I only lost power for a few hours. An Amtrack train was stranded. I-5 was closed for hours. The county reported $17.3 million in damages. It was weeks before all of the downed trees were cleared.
