Today was our last full day of adventures before momma and I start driving home - we sure did a lot! First we went to a state momma says is called Georgia. On St Simmons Island there was a beach where us doggos can run free and play - I loved it! I met other dogs and nice people and I splashed so much. I even bopped a crab but I didn't like how he felt. When we were done, we went to a place called Fort Frederica - it was a town in the 1700s. That's so many years ago that I can't even figure it out in dog years! While I was there, I became a Bark Ranger! Then it was on to Fort Pulaski where once again, I became a Bark Ranger - I sure did get a lot of new jobs on this vacation! Fort Pulaski was cool but they had a moat and I wasn't allowed to swim... What's the point of water that dogs can't swim in?! To make it even worse, my next stop in Savannah had a huge fountain but there was a fence so I still couldn't swim. To make it up to me, momma took me to another new place - South Carolina! There I got to go back to the beach in Hilton Head to splash until I was too tired to splash anymore! Puppy cuddles 🥰 Our sweet girl Emma Buttons. I haven’t posted about our pups for a while but I felt like I should. They are apart of our family and just as important. This one acts like she’s human sometimes. She grew up with a pack of five kids and just fell right in as is she was meant to be. Now she will bark or rush the kids if they aren’t listening and running around. She comforts them while sitting or gets cozy in their beds when they need a friend. She also makes her place in our bed and doesn’t feel like she needs to move even when we tell her too. She’s the sweetest pup, companion and fur sibling to our kids. She wouldn’t hurt a fly. I got another huge surprise this morning! When I woke up momma said we were going to the beach to meet an Instagram friend - yippee!! My friend @justferningaround lives in Jacksonville and he agreed to bring his mom to the beach today! They are experts at shark tooth hunting and taught us how - it was super neat! Fern is a very good boy and even showed off a few of the tricks he knows - I think he probably can do a million of them! Sketching your babies is literally my favorite thing to do in the entire world .. well, right behind forcing @wyatt.the.gentlegiant to snuggle me. But truly... It makes me so happy, not only that I get to do this as a job, but that you trust me enough to deliver something meaningful and special to you. I've never considered myself a creative and really only took it up as a hobby a few years ago. But as someone who functions at a very high level of anxiety, coupled with depression and OCD, this creative outlet helps to level my brain in a way that I've never felt before. We lost one of our massive lilac trees in the windy weather last week 😢 My neighbour says it was over 50 years old. Today I met a celebrity! This is Koda (@kodathecanineyoda). After I won World's Cutest Rescue Dog in 2021, momma became obsessed with following all the dogs in the contest every year. Koda was the World's Cutest Rescue Dog runner up in 2022 - Me and momma fell in love with him then and we've been Instagram friends ever since. Today, we got to meet him and his mom for real when we passed through Houston! It was so much fun!! We went to @jbarmbbq for lunch together - it was sooo tasty! They even brought out water and bacon green beans for us dogs! Then Koda showed me the best mural in town. By then I was hot - Koda has the right idea with his stroller!
