Here is a not particularly common 1996 Sovtek Mig-60. This Russian made amp is based on the legendary Marshall JCM800 using wonky old Soviet components. Working out the old parts coded in Russian was quite a time, but this thing can really rip now. I replaced all the original can capacitors with modern standard aluminum electrolytics; some mounted internally and some mounted in the old holes using silicone. Not the prettiest solution but it worked. While these amps sound very unique stock, the high gain channel is notoriously flabby and sputtery. I heavily modified the first two gain stages blending Marshall specs with the original design. I also added a switch to change the bias of V2b, as well as a PPIMV and fresh EL34s donated by my grandfather. Overall I was extremely impressed with the layout and design of this amp. Far higher quality to most of its Sovtek siblings and really easy to work on with a grounding scheme that makes Jim Marshall look like an amateur 😅. またギターアンプをリペアしました🎸とうとう真空管を換えました（笑）パワー管のみですが。 今回のリペアで判ったこと📝 ・ある程度のノイズはクリーニングで直る。 ・中の配線や引き回しが肝。特に、ハーネス類の振動を抑える事が重要。 ・どうしても取れないノイズは真空管野可能性が高い。 また、バイアス調整（パワー管を駆動させるエネルギー）はかなり浅めが好みのようです。バイアスでキャラは結構変わりました🔊 20年近く使ったので十分でしょう（笑） 音が元気になったのに感動してプリ管も落札しました😙 因みに、交換したパワー管は絶版ですが非常に状態の良いものを、有り得ん価格で落札しました㊙️ノイズも皆無♪ チャイナ管を選びました🇨🇳 （元はロシア管🇷🇺） #fender #hotroddeluxe #groovetube #sovtek #ruby #fenderamp

Sovtek Bass Balls - A pretty rare pedal from the olive green Sovtek era. I didn’t even know these existed until one turned up on my local Craigslist a few years back. Even better that it was perfectly mint and incuded the wooden box. I quickly snagged it for a really great price and while I had other EHX/Sovtek pedals already this one really got me into collecting. Do I need the Electric Mistress in green? Yes! Will I ever get it?
